He fried it. There is a significant difference in other electrical currents in the car from the direct battery. The unit will need to be serviced but shouldnt be visibly damaged from the outside. If it did suffer obvious electrical damage it is likely beyond repair Hope this helps!

I have a 03 aztek and the cooling fan is not comeing on when hot changed relays, thermostat is good ,water pump is good changed the coolant temp. senson on thermostat houseing but still no fan . both fans...

Pull the plastic Module plug apart ,Figure out witch is the hot wire to the fan, End the ground wire ,Use a jumper wire to ground it to the body of the car Some where like a bolt going into the body or the engine some where, Take anouther jumper wire end hook it up to the hot wire on the fan .Touch it to the positive terminal on the battery to check if the fan comes on, If it doesn,t the fan motor is shot. They don,t last for ever,

Cooling fans dont come on when engine gets hot

You need to unplug the coolant fan and test the plug for conginuity with a voltmeter. If there is none then the wires are broke along the line.

If the line is fine you can try option 2 which can be done 2 ways. You can remove the fan and test it by running wires from the fan straight to the battery and see if it spins. (The safe way)

The other way is to leave the fan on and test it (the unsafe way so please BE CAREFUL) only try this if you absolutely have to because you can get seriously burnt from the manifold or loose fingers if the fan does work.

If the fan does work but there is a break in the wires they can be extremely tricky to find. Most people with performance vehicles that want to hardwire one simply run a wire into the car. Onto a fuse. Which goes to a switch then back to the fan. This is a very 'ropey' approach but it is a quick fix until you find the broken wire.

How do u wire a kenwood cd player in a 2002 infiniti i35

No idea what this car looks like but either buy a conversion wiring kit or it should as a newer car have a standard plug on the cars wiring that should connect straight to your new one.I advise against fitting a fancy thng like this as it is only a invite for the next druggie to his next fix,My car still has its old tape player and no one bothers with this

Some cig lighter plugins are wired directly to battery, others are connected to ignition. You can always re-wire it straight to fuse or radio memory wire (Yellow) on cd deck or (Green/Black) from car wiring

The handle for my turn signals, and lights broke

A new handle and switch assy can be found quite cheaply at any auto Zone or similar parts house, they're easy to change just grab solidly and pull straight out, unplug the wires and install a new switch-unit the reverse, just plug in the wires then push straight in hard.

To wireup 160c Garmin fishfinder, there are seven clored wires. The book shows red and Yellow to hot. Black and blue to ground. Do the white, green and brown connect? Can the black and yellow be connected...

You only need the red and black wires to supply power to the unit. The red positive wire goes to a positive terminal on your battery or positive side of a bus bar or switch, the black negative wire goes to the negative terminal on the battery or negative common bus bar. Do not try to earth the black wire to an aluminum boat hull... You are asking for trouble! Best to run the black wire straight back to the negative battery terminal or negative bus bar that is wired to the negative battery terminal. The other colored wires on the 160C plug are used for interfacing with NMEA2000 compatible devices, like a compatible GPS.
