Re: photo copy comes out like tire marks are on it
Power the unit down. Let it cool for at least an hour. Remove toner carts, using a soft cloth and q-tip clean toner surfaces. follow warning stickers on unit. Examine cart/drum rollers for wear and baked on toner. Reassemble and clean platen glass and scan bed area with water or non-alcohol cleaner and soft cloth.

If it is on the photo receptor drum (mirror finish), it will likely not survive cleaning and will have to be replaced.
If you mean any roller in the paper path, you can use a solvent such as 'Oops' to remove the sticker and then thoroughly remove any remaining adhesive otherwise you may have a new jam to deal with.
Have you replaced the drum unit resently? When you had the drum unit out did you see the lines on the drum it self? If so, you need a new drum... If you did not see lines on it the problem may be coming from the fixing film, most of the time if the film is bad you can rub the toner off the page... Good Luck...
OK i have seen this problem, whats is going on is ur paper feed tires are slipping and needs replacinGg, THIS IS GREAT NEWS FOR THE SERVICE TECH, call ur indepentant serivce tech or if your in Ct we can help your feed tires need replacing and this could help your jam errors.
it needs a new fixing unit. Youll need to call a tech for this, the finixing unit cost the dealer 180 bucks and the make up is around 50% so its not a cheap unit. There also adjustments that need to be made in service mode so you really need a Canon tech that knows how to get into the service mode and make those adjustments for the new part.
depends on which additional function you are trying to do.
You have it as a copier only right now, you can add
duplexer for two sided copies
network for your computer to fax and print and scan
document feeder to put copies on top and feed automatically
There are a lot of options you need to decide which function you are willing to pay for.
