You have to contact Kodak for the print head:

Live phone support is available in English and Spanish at 1-800-421-6699, 7 A.M. to midnight Eastern time, 7 days a week.
The expected wait time for phone support is 15 minutes

Seems to be a common fault with Kodak EasyShare 5100/5300

Contact Kodak Support and go though the following tests:

Remove and re-seat Printer Cartridge(s) - Done

Clean Printhead - Done

Calibrate Printer - Test Sheet Not Complete!

Run Computer Colour Test - Done

They will then send you a new Print Head.

Our Kodak 5100 printer will not stop a red light flashing on ink


How often do you use the printer? I have the same problems with a Kodak AIO 5500. Go to the "Help Center" section of the Kodak.com website. This will lead you through troubleshooting and if the printhead is bad they should send you a new one under warranty. This is what I did.

Printer prints very lightly.


I did that and used up all my ink. You need to download firmware from kodak, it is on their site, mine still didn't work, so I have been sent a print head free of charge and now it works. We need to keep up to date with the firmware.

Print head


Check that all, printhead and ink are seated and contacts are correct.

Power down the printer and allow for a complete power on and self test.

We are very unhappy with our Kodak 5100 printer. The most immediate problem is that it stopped printing. We tried changing the print cartridges, plugging and unplugging and still get only very faded...


it is because of the faulty or short tracked print head.better to buy a new hp printer rather than a kodak print head.hp printer is always a better choice

They overnighted a new printer head and free ink. We already recieved it. AMAZING. Thank you Kodak. They are awesome.

Replacing printhead for kodak 5100


if your printer is still under warranty better go to the manufacturere asap, there were a lot of prob w this headactually rather than changing and spending another bucks, other campanies doenst consider this as warranty item luckily kodak does...
or replace the print head

Purchase a new printhead


Unfortunately printheads are not for sale as of yet so you won't be able to find them anywhere. If you need one and the printer is under warranty, you can call Kodak support at 1800 421 6699.
