Question about Zoom (5590-00-03) Wireless Router (G66115)

1 Answer

I just bought a wireless HP printer. I have followed the instructions to configure it, but I do not know the WPA or WEP of my Zoom Router. How do I find this and what do I do with it? My wireless printer connection does not show up in my devices or available printers.

Open your web browser and enter the Internal IP address of your router (usually 192.168.1.1 - You can check this by opening a command prompt and type in ipconfig. The router's IP will be your gateway address).

You will be prompted for your routers username and password authentication. It probably still is the default of the device. It depends on the device on what default password it will be. The best way to find out what the username and password is to look in the owners manual. If you don't have that, then google the model number of your Zoom router with the words "default password".

Once you are in your routers web page, click on the Wireless icon at the top. This page will show you everything you need to configure your HP wireless printer.

Good luck!

Wanna know how to secure my belkin wireless G router.

Setting the router's administrator password

All Belkin Router's ship without an admin password. If you require an admin password then follow the below instructions.

Setup steps:

  1. Connect the computer to one of the four LAN ports on the router.
  2. Open a web browser on the computer.
  3. In the address bar of the web browser, type http://192.168.2.1
  4. Click Login in the upper right-hand corner of the page. The router does not ship with a password, so just click Submit.

  5. Click on System Settings under Utilities on the left-hand side of the opened page.
    systemsettings.jpg
  6. You will see a feature called, "Administrator Password". Type in your current password (default leave blank).
    .adminpwd.jpg
  7. Click "Apply Changes". Your new password is now active.

Note: Do not forget the new password and keep it somewhere safe. If you forget your password, you'll be unable to access your router's settings. If you forget or lose your password, you'll need to "Perform a hardware reset on the router". This will reset the password to its default, as well as erase any and all other settings you may have changed

Need to get wpa encryption key

The router's password is a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA orWPA2 encryption key. The Passphrase generates the WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryption keyand this is in the router's wireless settings. Need to find out my wpa key so i can hang it up to my ps3

The password is the encryption key in your wireless router, without this key the wireless router won't allow the laptop or PS3 to connect to this wireless router.
The WEP, WPA, WPA2 encryption key is in your router's wireless settings. Log into your router and got to the wireless settings, you will need to get the SSID and the encryption key. Then go to your PS3 or computer/laptop's wireless card and configure it with the router's SSID and encryption key, so it will then connect to the wireless router and the Internet.

I cant find my wep key

The WEP key is the wireless encryption key and it is configured in the wireless setup in the wireless router. I suggest you use WPA or WPA2 encryption instead of WEP. WPA is a later and much stronger encryption method.
