Asko dishwasher D1756 shows F2

How do I clear this to start a normal wash cycle

  • Anonymous Jan 21, 2013

I took the filter pieces out and cleaned them as per instruction manual, removed the yellow attachment and checked the blades with my fingers, there was no apparant blockages although I did remove quite alot of build up from the 4filters. I have just now turned off the electricity at the breaker as suggested but with no satisfaction, the F2 code is still flashing and the machine is still sounding like it would like to pump out some water although there is no water other than the smallamount inside the filter well.

Most of the time the F2 fault code means faulty water inlet valve or faulty pump. Since you state the pump is working, I would check out the water inlet valve. Does water ever run in when you try running it through a cycle?

Typically on all appliances the memory will reset to factory settings when power is killed to the unit. Since this is a dishwasher, you will most likely have to turn the breaker to the dishwasher off and back on. I would leave it off for about 1 minute before turning it back on.

Is my asko d1776 repairable. It's currently not going into wash mode. The Blade are not turning and washing.

The motor is not getting switched on at the proper time. The timer / cycle selector is the problem and is easily repairable.

ASKO D1976 model. We have a F2 error message. Water has now been drained but we are unable to remove error code or have dishwasher return to normal cycle

Display shows an error code. Do the following:

1. Unplug washer or disconnect power for one minute.
2. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
3. Re-select the cycle and press Start.

NOTE: If the error remains on the display, call for service.

F2 error message after dishwasher backed up when draining. Asko brand.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F2 in your Asko Dishwasher means high water level. This error occurs due to plugged/bad water pump and/or a bad inlet valve. If the water pump and/or water inlet valve are bad it should be replaced to resolve this issue. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Asko d1876 dishwasher

The F2 lights blink due to a water senser in the compartment where the motors are located. Remove the bottom kick panel and other covers to access this area of the unit. Unplug the unit before working in this area as wires are abundant. Check the pan to see if water is present. Dry out the pan with a towel and then maybe a hairdryer to clear the F2 alarm. The real questions is what caused the water to be there. Start a cycle and watch to see if there are any leaks on the inlet water line. If not, let the unit run and see when water enters the pan. If it enters during the washing cycle, a gasket leak is likely. If it enters during the drain cycle, perhaps a drain hose is leaking.

there is water in the pan below the unit. You will need to take apart the lower section of the dishwasher behind the toe kick and suck out the water, or just wait for it to evaporate (few days) Good Luck!
