How do you change a light in an Amish surge heater?

To do it correctly you'll need to see a drawing or picture. It's not difficult and the bulb may only be loose. They do that sometimes from vibration.

For more information and a downloadable manual do to:

How to change bulb in amish heat surge heater

It's not difficult to change the bulb. But lengthy to explain. If you no longer have your Owners Manual go the link below and click on "Flame does not illuminate properly" More than likely though, the bulb(s) have just come loose.

My amish heat surge heater has to bad bulbs in it. I found that the heater is not putting out heat. the fan works but it won't heat. Is it because the bulbs are burnned out?

Sadly, the only thing that is Amish on your heater is the cabinet mantle. The electric fireplace is made in China. Never-the-less, from what you describe, it appears that the heater coil is not receiving power or it has burned out. If it's not receiving power, one of the resistors that controls the power to heater has gone bad (probably melted). The bulbs being burned out does not affect the heater. You must have had this unit for sometime for the bulbs to burn out. Normally these are LED Bulbs that have a tremendously long life. It may be that the bulbs have vibrated loose and need to be re-tighten.

If I recall correctly, these units were sold with a one year warranty and may have had an option of an extended warranty. If yours is still under that one year warranty, you're in business. If you purchased the extended warranty, that's even better.

In any event, contact their customer service dept @ 1-800-924-7964, as they may able to help you even more.
