Lo m8 look at the top left and top right hand corners near the sim reader and se if theres are little black stickers (these normaly cover the screws).take the sticckers off and take the screws out.the front should come off now.strip it down as fare as you can then let me know. but if you dont want to bother with it yourself then send it to these guys and they will do it for you http://www.mobilephoneservicecentre.co.uk/

A homemade CD got caught in the turntable and now the turntable is stuck even after removing the CD.

Try this:1. Remove the cover (2 screws on each side & 3 in the back).

2. Find a small white arm (more or less cylindrical, about 1" diameter, & about 3/4" long) and a longer (4-5"?) thin black arm in the center of the unit. These parts load/unload CDs to/from the playing area. You should see that a little knob on the white piece has jumped out of its track in the black piece.

3. Carefully put the knob on the white piece back in its track in the black piece. That should do it.

Lens scratched on lg shine , how do i replace

Visit this web page for a picture guide to repair your screen. http://tiny.cc/YaTay

Directions to repair the screen on an LG Shine:

Step 1. Take off back cover and remove battery and SIM card.
.
Step 2. Remove the six screws holding on the back cover.
.
Step 3. Get a thin piece of metal and pry off back piece of the main phone unit.
.
Step 4. Once you get the back piece off you can see a green unit at the top of phone. This is the camera, all you do is pull on it and it should un-clip.
.
Step 5. Once the camera is removed you can see 4 more screws, unscrew these.
.
Step 6. Now that the screws are out you can pull off the main board. The first thing you need to do is un-clip the black ribbon that is at the top. Then you have to un-clip the clip on all four corners, after you do this the main board will come out.
.
Step 7. Now That you have that off there are 2 screws on the back that you must unscrew.
.
Step 8. With the screws gone you can now pull the slider away from the piece that has the number pad on it.
.
Step 9. On the back of the slider there are 6 screw you must unscrew. The Two screws at the top have small black circles glued on-top of them. Just wedge something under the black peices and they will come off.
.
Step 10. Now that the screws are out you can pry off the plastic LCD screen cover from the metal slider piece.
.
Step 11. After the LCD screen cover is gone you must unscrew 2 screws to the left and right of the joystick. After you remove the screws the joystick cover comes off.
.
Step 12. Now that you have the cover off you need to turn the plate where the joystick is on over and pull out of the LCD screen clip.

Step 13. After you do this you can now put in the replacement and put the phone back together.

If this information was helpful, please give me a big thumbs-up when you rate my answer. Thank you.

You should be able to get a replacement screen from http://www.rmslogisticslp.com. If so and you want to replace it yourself, here are some steps. You will have to do some soldering. I found these instructions when looking for help on my pantech so I am just passing on this help. If you aren't comfortable doing the work yourself then RMS Logistics may be able to help. You can also check with your provider for a store near you that services phones for that provider.

This not a job for just anyone it will require some soldering on the circuit board. If you don't know how then it would be best to ship it off.

The steps to take apart the phone.
1. take the battery and Sim card out.
2. remove the molding place that surrounds the camera lens. It just snaps in. At first it did not look like it come off but is does.
3. remove 6 (six) tiny screws from the back of the phone.
4. lift the circuit board and carefully unplug the board in the next section. place the circuit board to the side.
5. Remove 4 silver screws, hold this piece to one of the sliders. - set this piece to the side.
6. remove 4 screws for the corners of this piece. two of the screws have covers over them
7. Ok this was a pain both getting it out and back in. you should see a circuit board and mic. The Mic is solder to the board and stuck to the piece below with stick-em. Carefully left the mic off do not break the wires - you just want it loose. Now lift the circuit board and carefully unplug the next circuit board. Set the circuit board and mic to the side
7. Remove 4 black screws hold the next slider in place.
8. Ok, you're down to the LCD piece. Again remove 4 screws in the corners. 2 of them have 1 long cover piece covering them.
9. remove the LCD piece, unsolder the speaker.
10. Solder the speaker just removed to the new LCD piece. and reverse the steps the reassemble.

Hope this helps.

STUCK ON STANDBY

I took the ****** apart and found two spring-loaded black triangular plastic pieces poking out of two rectangular chips about 2mm square, just below the circular piece on the outside of the camera that changes mode – play, video, camera. Actually I found one of the above, because the second triangular piece was stuck in the closed position. A bit of jiggling and voila the problem was fixed.
That was the good news. The other news is that I must now reinsert inside of the shell a black circular piece of plastic that affixes to the rotating circular piece on the outside of the camera that changes the mode. When properly attached this circular piece manipulates the triangular pieces to change the mode.
I think that the likelihood of getting this piece properly aligned and affixed so that it moves the triangular pieces properly when the mode knob is rotated falls into the statistical probability range of pork taking wing. But worth a try.

Ok, after searching for the same instructions and not finding them. I finally got mine taken apart and the LCD replaced.
First, this not a job for just anyone it will require some soldering on the circuit board. If you don't know how then it would be best to ship it off. Second, the place that I found to sell me just the LCD, in my hind sight opinion charged way to much. RMS logistics $89 deal is much better, the only problem is being without the phone for 3 week.

9. remove the LCD piece, unsolder the speaker.
10. Solder the speaker just removed to the new LCD piece. and reverse the steps the reassemble.
good luck and I would still recommend having RMS logistics do it.

By the way I paid way more than 89 for the LCD and it took 2 weeks to get here. At least I could answer and make calls on it.

I don't think this problem is fixable. Never force the lens closed, just restart it into both regular and playback mode.

Soldering 'Card Cover Open' Switch Closed

I had the same problem after a little plastic trigger thing fell out of the hole above where it says push to eject. After poking around for a while I took the camera apart (remove 7 screws) which made it much easier to see, with a magnifying glass and lamp, what the problem was. A damaged wire that needed to be connected to something. Only the very end of the wire was visible, inside a small white plastic box thing. The plastic box thing eventually fell apart with my attempts to put in bits of wire of varying shapes. When it came loose I was left with a short stiff bit of wire. I took a strand of copper wire (from an old piece of electrical wire), twisted it so I had a small loop at one end, looped it over the end of the stiff bit of wire, and then curved the rest of the wire (about 3 - 4 cm long) so it was resting on a silver piece of metal just below where the white plastic box had been. Put the cover back on and the camera worked. Needless to say, it won't let me know if I've left the cover off, but then it won't work unless the cover is on, so it doesn't seem to matter. Saved about $100.
