If its electric not gas check the main heat fuse in main breaker box . if ok check out by the heat pump outside breaker. than pull off the front panel with power off check the main 220 volt main wires usally thick black with big wire nuts make sure that they are connected well .in the future its always wise to check heat at least twice a year and let it run for about ten mmin let me !!

SOURCE: The Heater is only blowing cold air

I would need a lot more info. if this is a natural gas furnace you may have a bad hot surface ignitor

SOURCE: my heater works fine when its a little cold, when

do not adjust your gas pressure without an manometer or if you dont know what you are doing could be very dangerous. Roll out switches are manual reset if you have an open roll out on a Goodman furnace you probably have a cracked heatexchanger, get a qualified technician out there asap

SOURCE: gas heater doesn't stay on longer than 5 minutes.

It sounds to me that your air flow is restricted somewhere. The first thing to check is your air filter. If that gets real dirty your restricted air flow will cause the hi-limit(hi temperature limit switch) in your heat exchanger compartment to over heat and open up your gas valve electrical circuit, thus, shutting off the gas to your burners. After the hi-limit switch cools down the furnace will go back to heating again then it will overheat again(you get the picture?) If it keeps cycling on and off like that the house will never get warm if it is cold outside. If your air filter is reasonably clean(you should be able to see light thru it easily) then the secondary heat exchanger could also be dirty, this is located above the indoor fan housing, you would need to pull the indoor blower assembly out of the furnace and look up above. The secondary heat exchanger looks similar to a radiator will fins. You can use a medium stiff plastic brush to brush the dirt, hair, whatever off of it. Another problem spot would be the cooling evaporator coil (if you have central airconditioning) located most likely above the furnace in the plenum(if your furnace is in a basement). This usually is difficult to access if an access cover wasn't installed when the airconditioning was installed. I would recommend an experience service tech to clean it for you. Also make sure all you supply air registers and return air registers are open . These are the things I would check first. Good luck!!

SOURCE: The floor vents in our house are blowing cold air

If the furnace is running and the registers are blowing cold air you have a problem with the furnace. Check to be sure the pilot lite is lite if this is a standing pilot, if not check to see if there is a flash code in the site hole in the bottom blower door of the furnace. Be sure the thermostat is set to heat and turned up.

Or you need anitfreeze.
Or your thermostat is shot. Both are easy fixes.
Try the antifreeze, first, check and top off.

and if teh problem persists, check and repalce the thermostat.

Why would my heater blow out cool air when sitting still and then hot air when going down the road and then it's not all that hot

Try flushing or blowing high pressure air through the heater core lines. its sludge build up and need to be flushed through heater core only. check antifreeze fluid level. only put in straight antifreeze, do not mix. most people do not know what mixture should be, so be safe and add straight, it will not hurt it, i run 100% straight antifreeze and never had a problem or worry about it ever freezing and cracking my block, heads or radiator cracking.

My is heat is not work?My car is blowing cold air instead of hot air, I have a brand new heater core, the thermostat is not sticking,I got anti-freeze in it,It's getting cold in I need heat. Please help me

first feel the heater core hoses see if both are hot if so then your problem is in the blend air door must be stuck on cold. is your blower motor blowing cold air if not your blower motor might be the problem. the blend air door is down by the blower motor.

1998 Jeep Wrangler not blowing hot air. Fan is blowing cold air. Suggestions?

your heater hose or heater core could be plug, or your flap that opens inside of the heater housing may not be opening like it should. It operates off a vacum line, check all your vacum lines going into your heater housing.
good luck

Heater blowing hot even after changing bulkhead valve no air-con

Theres a door under the dash that directs air over the heater core if it is broken then you will not get heat but you will still have a/c.To fix it you will have to take dash apart.
