Question about Printers & Copiers

1 Answer

Streaking copies I have a Canon NP2120 which is producing a black horizontal stripe (across page) on all my copies. This seems to have started after I replaced the toner cartridge recently. Do you have any suggestions re cleaning &/or adjustments that may rectify this problem? Thank you for your assistance.

Have you changed the drum unit recently or emptied out the waste toner in the drum unit? If not try to empty the waste toner and clean the area that is right under the drum unit... * Note* do not wear any thing white... Toner can make a vey big mess...

I have started getting streaks on Image Runner 2020

Try to print something, if there is any streaks? If no the problem is in copy glass (dadf or platen glass).

If there is streaks on print also,it could be the drum unit ( pull the drum unit out and see if on drum surface is any black streaks), fixing film is worn out, and in the worst case you have problem with toner unit ( on toner unit you have current leackage ) and you need (in best case) clean the contacts on toner unit, and in more expencive case tochange the toner unit.

BLACK LINE ACROSS THE COPY CANON IMAGE 2200

Most likely your drum unit is worn out. If it reaches the yield of 50k or more, it starts to develop grooves in the drum and toner gets stuck in the groove and is applied to your pages. If you have a service company, they can change it for you. We sell the drum for $220.
