Question about Kenmore 63942 Dryer
Dryer cuts off before clothes are dry. Indicator light is still on. I have to wait for dryer to cool down before it will start up again.
Might be something lugging down the motor causing it to shut down on overload. Too many clothes, bad rollers, idler, or slides. All can cause the motor to have fits. It might just be time to replace the motor or try and oil it. They don't put any oil holes for the bearings. You must make some. Use high temp oil to fill the bearing wells. Work the motor free. If you are gonna replace the motor remember the blower wheel has backwards threads.
