I have a BLU Energy X phone with AT&T. It has 8GB RAM and a 32GB SD card. Why can't I move apps from RAM to SD to free up space on internal memory??

You don't appear to understand what RAM is. Random Access Memory is only used when that app is in use. When you close the app, it moves out of RAM. Ram is not a storage medium.

The SD Card on a phone is a physical storage device and generally used for storing Contacts, Photos, Video and Music.

Download a free app like 'Powerclean' which removes Cache, and cleans RAM.

Delete any Apps you no longer use.

Why i do not have space on my phone even though i have deleted most of my picture downloads

Hi Thula

First you need to check each and every app whether it is installed on phone or sdcard. If they are installed on phone then you have to move it to your sdcard so that you can save a lot of storage space on your galaxy smartphone phone memory.
So how to move the apps from phone memory to SD card? Please follow the below given steps.
1. Go to Settings->More->Application manager. There tap on any app and tap "Move to SD card". That's it, every movable data will be moved to the SD card. Do this for all the apps and you will be able to save a lot of storage space on your Samsung Galaxy Smartphone.

Having trouble with memory card for Samsung Note 2

the first thing i would try? move the apps back into phone memory out of the sd card.maybe put the wifi back on phone memory, shut the phone off, remove the battery, put it back in & restart phone.it may take a minute or two for the sd card to mount.
then to "my files" (under apps on home screen ).choose external memory.pick wifi, tap the top right button. you will see options.pick "move".pick "device storage".that should put it back on the device.turn wifi on & see if it works. (P.S-always before removing sd card, pick "storage" on your menu. you will see the option to
"unmount".be sure to do this every time before removing sd card.

How to fix the prestigio tablet 'insufficient storege space message error'?I've tried deleting my apps and gallery content but it doesn't work.

Move your apps to the SD card via Settings - Apps. You have to move each app one at a time, and some will not move. Then clear your browser cache. Delete old messages, especially ones with photos and videos with them.

Texts not working on samsung galaxy y , storage data says full , even though it has been emptied,m no texts are coming in, also the option for moving apps to sd card is greyed out

Your phone can't use the mini SD card as internal memory. Your internal memory has to many apps, and to much data. (pictures, notes and messages) You should clear up the internal memory, by deleting apps and data. Most Samsung apps you can't delete. The modern phones already have apps, exceeding 10 Gb. So if you bought a 16 Gb phone only 5 Gb is left for you to use for apps. I'm sorry, but the SD cards should be seen as an external hard disk, not as internal memory.
If you thought I can buy a phone with less memory, because the SD cards are very cheap and will extend the internal memory, you made an error. New phones from Samsung now get more than 10 Gbyte of apps, you even can't remove. So only about 5 Gbyte is free to use for other apps and messages.
Next phone, take one with lots of internal memory, if you like to install other apps.

Samsung galaxy S3 phone camera not working..When turn on camera,no other function button on screen works & it says "camera failed"..any help? Many thanks :)

Let me guess.. you are using an external SD card, correct?
And, now you are having this camera failed issue. It's due a corruption with the SD card.

1) Go to Settings>Application Manager>(swipe right to left until you see) ALL>(Scroll down the list to "Camera") Tap on Camera> press "Clear Cache".
2) Power off your phone.
3) Take the back cover off your phone.
4) Remove your SD card
5) Restart the device
6) Wait a couple minutes for the phone to fully load. Then, re-insert the SD card.

The camera issue should be fixed.

7) go to the camera app, in the camera settings change how the camera saves photos to phone storage only (NOT to SD card, this is where the problem occurs). Doing so will help the camera take photos faster. The SD card is too slow for the camera. After taking your photos, you can move them to the SD card to clean up space and back up your photos in case your phone ever crashes or you ever become locked out of your device. I would use the SD card to back up all files not just photos.

Samsung galaxy y duo s6102 internal memory full

Hii, there are two ways to increase internal memory of samsung galaxy y duos s6102. either you move each and every app to your sd card or you can also use some software, which are out on Google store, specially meant for increasing internal memory. but according to me, you must use Link2SD app. I have personally used this app on Galaxy y duos and seriously it works good. However, you may also take help from this interesting article: http://www.androidnectar.com/how-to-increase-internal-memory-of-samsung-galaxy-y-duos-gt-s6102/

I have the samsung galaxy ace and it kept saying low internal memory so i deleted a whole load of stuf then it was in but a few days later it started coming up with low internal memory plus memory inbox...

The problem with smart phones is the same problem that we have with PC's. If you don't get faster processors and more memory, the device cannot keep pace with software.
The Galaxy Ace has tiny on board storage and a relatively slow processor by modern standards meaning that it will struggle to run a lot of apps.
This is not a disaster as there are some things you can do.
Presumably you have already got rid of apps you don't use and data you don't need, so I'll skip that step.
The best thing you can do (assuming your version of android will let you) is move apps to your SD card (if you have one).
Go to settings/apps - click on each app and see if there is an option to 'move to SD card' - not all apps can be moved, but you should move any that can (it can take a few minutes for each one).
Any apps you are sure you are not needing can be disabled from this menu, and you can also clear residual data files. Some apps will allow you to uninstall updates, do this to free up space for apps you don't need but can't uninstall (the apps that come with the phone).
Hopefully you can get your phone working again - then look about for a phone with at least 2GB RAM to replace it...
