Question about HP PSC 1410v All-in-One Printer

Hp officejet 7310 all-in-one software will not install

I stared getting error messages when trying to scan, like ( an error occurred communicating with the scanning device, Please ensure that the device is connected properly then try again. then it recomended that i put in the insallation cd. that in turn wanted to uninstall before going any further. then reinstall. as a result I am now getting error messages that say the program has encountered an unexpected error object reference not set to instance of object. as if thats not enough mumbo jumbo for you. please help hp sure can't

  1. Solution one: Make sure the hardware is functioning correctly(try to make a copy)

  2. Solution two: Restart both the All-in-One and the computer
    3. Solution three: Check if the correct scanning device is selected as default under HP Software
    4. Solution four: Download and run the Scan Diagnostic utility(FROM HP.COM)
    5. Solution five : Check that the Digital Imaging Monitor is running
    6. Solution five :Try scanning without HP Imaging software
    7.Solution six :Try scanning without HP Imaging software

is the solution center or hp director installed on the pc? look under add/remove and check if it's included in the list of programs installed. if it is there,look for it's icon on the desktop or click on start,all programs,hp folder,hp director and hp solution center.launch it from there.use it to scan from your computer.check for error messages and let me know.
if it is not installed ,you may need the disk to install it.or go to hp.com and click on support and drivers to download the latest version of the printer software.

Hi,

#Click Start , select Settings , and then click Control Panel .
#Double-click System . The System Properties dialog box displays.
#Click the Hardware tab.
#Click Device Manager . The Device Manager dialog box displays.
#Click the plus sign (+ ) next to Universal Serial Bus Controllers .
#Click the USB Composite Device entry, and then click Remove .
#Disconnect the USB cable from the All-in-One, wait for few seconds, and then reconnect the cable. The New Hardware found dialog box displays.
#Click Next through all of the screens that display while the Wizard installs the USB composite device, and then click Finish .

My program for Officejet 7310 all in one is installed but whenever I try to scan, I get a message that the software needs to be installed. What do I do?


Try going to Hp soltions for updated drivers. Also windows has it own scanning drivers. Try going to control panel and selecting scanner devices, and go through the installation wizard to install a scaning device, if your scanner is not listed then just click on install new device.

Cannot scan with vista


HP have released a couple of updates to coorect communications and scanning problems for the vista version of your printer, you can download and run the drivers or alternatively and probably more correctly you should uninstall the old drivers then download and install the latest driver

My scaner is not working . Error Scan.Msi file missing


I have reinstalled software for my HP Officejet 7310 printer and in the final stages I get a 1706 error indicating I am missing a file called "scan.msi". Any suggestions?

Getting error when trying to fax or scan


The L7580 is not meant to be set up as a scanning device on a network. This unit can only function properly as a USB connected device to have all the features work. Also, for the software to install with out problems, all other All in One software fro previous HP printers need to be removed. Once we did that and did clean install using USB only then did it work.
