Most lithium ion battery packs I have come across, that typically have three terminals, have a terminal to allow the charger to do one of two things. This terminal will give the charger circuit a temperature reading, or, it will give it a reference to allow for both cells to have a balanced charge. On the battery I used for one of my projects there was a board that measured the voltage across 3 different cells to prevent over charging, over current, and undervoltage conditions. Without

Yes you are right. The only thing that you need to be aware of is, that if the speakers are hookd up backwards they will be out of phase with each other. Keep the solid black on the negative and you will be OK.
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.
I am doing this for free.

Testimonial: "Great thanks for the advice. Silly sods who wrote the manual failed to say which wire was +. BTW, could it have messed it up if I'd wired it wrong?"
Blue = Neutral, Brown = Live and you are correct Yellow & Green = Earth
The live wire (brown) must be connected to the fuse if there is one.
You could say that the blue wire is negative (or zero) and the brown wire is positive as this is the one the high current passes through. The blue wire completes the circuit, which is needed for current to flow.
Hope this helps!
