Question about Radio Communications

1 Answer

I work as a slinger/signaler on a busy site. The maincontractor's management purchased off the internet xinchuang TR800 walkie talkies for the crane team to use. l became injured after the walkie talkie cut out without warning after 2. 5 hours of use one day. Does anyone know, or how to find out, the normal daily battery usage life. On the internet the specifications on the manufacturers website gives no time. The site is very busy and all crane work is done through the radios. Can anyone help? Joseph

This one should be a very close match. The T4508 is a foreign version of the T4500.

SOURCE: charging walkie talkies

This is more for "mshtexas" than the OP but I'm sure there may be others out there wondering the same thing. The power cord that comes with this unit has a 9.0v output at 200mA with the center pin being positive

SOURCE: One of my tlkr-t3 walkie talkie's will not recieve.

One of my tlkr-t3 walkie talkie's will not recieve.

They worked fine the first time we tried them out. Then they were put away for several weeks, and when they've been switched on, one now doesn't send. I checked this by the other putting in scan mode but it doesn't stop scanning at the channel it is assumed to send with. I tried all the channels for sending but neither one is detected. The other way around, so the first one in scanning mode, the 2nd in send mode, works fine (the scanning stops at the channel of the sending one, as expected).
So my conclusion is, that one doesn't send.
I interchanged the (fresh) batteries, but this doesn;t change.
So what could be the problem?

I have exactly the same problem, works in monitor mode only. I assume one radio has not enough Tx power. Do you think I should try and open it? Maybe just antenna disconnected?

I have slyvania walkie talkies model no.fbs201 working but not sure how to turn off and on..

I could not find your model on the internet. Sylvania was never a walkie talkie manufacturer, so they were made by someone else. The ones I found on eBay had an off/on switch tied to the up down keys. Try pressing and HOLD for about 3 seconds the left side bottom button, then release. If that did not power it on, try the other buttons but be certain to HOLD for about 3 seconds since the button is dual purpose.

I would like a phone number so I can call and talk to someone about batteries for my walkie talkies

Hi this can be down to many reasons, radio keypad locked, receive on tone squelch, set on "Relay" or "Repeater", or even radio failure. Without the radio I cannot help, but that may give you some ideas.

I have k7gfv700 Motorola walkie talkies w/ charger. The charge seems to work, but the lighs one the charge are red and the talkie do not charge. Do I need new batteries and where can I purchase the

You might try http://wirelesspro.com, we have found them to carry most TalkAbout accessories and batteries. Before ordering battery packs, you might try switching your existing good battery to the other radio and see if it solves the problem. This would assure you that it is indeed a battery problem.

When i try To walkie-talkie it wont work

They do not have signal to receive the walkie talkie service. Try texting them and telling them to get in an area where they can get better service. Walkie Talkie coverage is very spotty.

Walkie talkie batteries don't last

What you have been using are consumer grade walkie talkies. The rechargeable battery packs in them should last a full business day, unless you are in a high use area. This being said, it is also possible you might need to replace the rechargeable battery pack as they usually have just a one year life expectancy. As they start to fail they will go less and less time in a day.

To answer your question about a radio which will go a full business day, any of the business division Motorola handheld radios would work. Radios such as the CP110, BPR40, CP185, and CP200 are all make to go a full day and sometimes more. Their battery packs depending on chemistry would also need to be replaced every 18-24 months.

Best regards.

Is kenwood walkie talkie and motorola walkie talkie on the same frequence

If you are talking about FRS radios, the answer would be yes. If you are talking about business radios, it depends on how they were programmed. Business radios have many frequencies available.

Nextel i850 can't receive calls

  • may be the walkie talkie can recieve signals only to an certain distance,so it may be due to the signal problem........
  • if the reciever is beyond the permitted distance it loose its frequency...........
  • or else the person who is calling walkie talkie might not hav signal in that area.....
  • and if the walkie talkie does not recieve any signal then the receiver component present inside the walkie talkie might be damaged.........
  • and if it does not reply to an signal transmitter might be damaged..........
  • i hope my answer would be sufficient for u.....thank u......
