Hearing from Motorola H700

I linked my Motorola H700 to my new Samsung Blackjack II. Although the person I am speaking to can hear me, I get no sound at all from the headset.

Good morning!! ive been thru this before, try tapping your phone volume while your talking to your party, it shold be seen on your phone screen as earpiece volume than turn it up and when you have the volume where you want it dont forget to tap the set on your phone, another prob i had was some times there is a small protective plastic film on the ear holes on the tooth and one on the mike sometimes, i could hear my party but they couldnt hear me until i discovered that lil peice of plastic. remember your key codes are either 0000 or 1234. good luck m.m.

When I call people on my blackjack 2, I can hear the other person perfectly fine, but they either cannot hear me at all or they say it sounds like the volume is very low and they can hardly hear me. How do...

This happened to me and I called in ATT customer care and they told me to take it in. Something about software downloads could corrupt files that enable the device to work. Sounded like BS and it may be a faulty phone.

My voice sounds muffled when speaking to a person using the Motorola H715. I had the same problem with the motorola H700. It worked fine initially and I've only had it for 1 month.

If you keep it in your pocket or in a purse its possible that it could have lint on the mouth piece. Try blowing it out or gently pick it out. If thats not it then it is defective.

baby slobber is a dangerous thing... turns out the phone just needed time to dry internally. It took a while, but everything's fine now.

Motorola h700

Ok here is the answer. There H700 have a small foam windscreen inside over the microphone that over time block the sound. The answer is to carefully open the unit and remove the obstruction and clean residue from the microphone and it will work like new. here is a link to pictures and instructions. http://www.geocities.com/jconkwright/H700fix.html

When I called I did a quick song and dance with the auto system (just say agent and it goes away) and explained to a "foreign" sounding gentleman what my issue was and after wasting about 5 minutes of my time attempting to get it to work he said they (Motorola) was going to upgrade my headset to the H710 for free. According to him I should have my new headset in less than a week. We shall see.
