Question about Canon PIXMA MP160 All-In-One InkJet Printer

My pixma160 is not printing or scanning, I have not used it for a few months and now it seems like is not working. :( I am not getting a message on my screen saying I need to replace ink, is not scanning, and I can send a job from my computer it seems like is printing but pages are coming out blank. HELP! HELP!

Normal 0 Could have a corrupt driver.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

The Canon MP270 does seem to have a few problems. It's not one of Canon's finest products, to say the least. It seems to be getting a reputation for problems, problems...

I gave up and bought a HP Deskjet printer instead. I know that's not a fix, but I found it was the best solution!

Hello.

I could make several suggestion to "fix" the problem, such as clean the timing strip, etc., but since your printer is still under warranty, I'd suggest contacting Canon for a repair / replacement due to a potential hardware problem. You shouldn't be getting a "Service error 5100" after a few months.

HP L7650 Scanner Could Not Be Initialized in Leopard (Not Found)


If you're using Vista, this happens all too regularly with HP printers. I've had a few where I have to uninstall everything then re-install to make things work.
Two weeks later the same thing, same process.
Try downloading latest drivers from HP and see if that helps. HP don't admit there's a problem.
Don't seem to have this problem with Epson printers tho.

HP C 6180 will not not print or scan


As an IT admin at a small school district I can attest to the scan in print issues via network with this model. Our eventual solution after HP provided little help was to USB it to a workstation and then share it with limited rights to users. It was most stable otherwise with only bare drivers loaded and not using any associated HP software

MFC 210c Unable to Print Use Troubleshouting and routine maintenance chapter in Users Manual


My color has not worked well in the past few months. Now I get the message Unable to Print, Use Troubleshooting and rountine maintenance chapter in user's manual. I've tried everything it told me. I've removed all ink cartridges and left them upright (they are ALL brand new) and cleaned all the ink ports. I've cleaned the machine several times. It's told me there's no ink cartrige, I've replaced them, turned the machine off and on, unlplugged, etc. Then go to print and I get the same message again and it won't print. The machine is almost 2 years old and has worked fine until about 6 months ago when the magenta stopped working all together. Now this. Any help? Thanks.

After careful research and reading about this problem and how others have handled it, it seems best to go back tot he source for the fix.Read it carefully and follow directions. Since I do not have any info on your PC or your Op sys, I cannot go any further with helping you, it seems pretty self explanatory however. If you have any problems, let us know.

i read somewhere it was SP3 causing the problem and to uninstall it if you can. I tried and it didn't work so the computer broke down a few weks ago and the idiots installed the wrong OS. they put on xp home instead of xp pro and the scanner is working. just wondering if, when i put xp pro back on will it still work.
