I'm sorry to say, your drive is messed up. Try to do a recovery. If that does not work you will just have to reinstall Windows 8.

Check system then press f1 key

Try this:

Instructions
    • 1

Insert the Toshiba A60 recovery disc into the CD/DVD-ROM drive.

    • 2

Power off the Toshiba (with the recovery disc still loaded inside the optical drive).

    • 3 Hold down the "F12" key, at the same time hit the "Power" button to turn the system back on. You don't have to hold down the Power button, but keep holding the F12 key.
    • 4

Release the "F12" key when the" In Touch with Tomorrow TOSHIBA" screen is displayed. This will open up the BIOS.

    • 5

Change the boot order by using the arrow keys to select "CD/DVD ROM" icon in the menu. The Toshiba will now boot from the recovery disc and restore the system. Follow any additional on-screen instructions.

My nb205-n210 reciently underwent an unexpected crash... now the netbook will not boot in any mode. When trying to boot up in any form of safe mode it freezes the boot at...

You will have to put a Windows DVD in and boot on that and do a "Repair" install, if that will not work, you will have to do a complete format and reinstall Windows.
But try the below first if you can.
1. Restart the computer.

2. Repeatedly tap the F8 key until you see the Advanced Boot Option Screen.

3. Select Repair Your Computerand hit Enter.

4. Select your country >> OK.

5. On the System Recovery Options Screen select Restore Application.

6. Follow the on-screen instructions.

8. When prompted, select on "Full Factory Recovery"

9. Select Next >> Yes.

10. After a couple of minutes the recovery will be completed.
Check to see if your PC will perform a Factory reinstall from a "Recovery partition" usually accessed via CTRL F10, or just F10 or F12 Check your manual, as if this is available it will restore your PC to a "From the factory state"
BTW, your hard drive may be ruined you may need to get a new one. Then reinstall Windows from DVD.

I have a toshiba A305-S6905 with- VISTA!! - sorry. New computer was working fine, now when i try to power it up i will get the toshiba screen and hthen it just goes blank. Tried f2 f8 and f12 along with C...

If this is new, I would suggest pulling your hard drive and letting the factory take care of it. It's a shame your having this type of issue with a new system.

Lets try something first though. Boot the laptop with your vista disc in it and hit any key when it tells you to. After windows loads, it should give you options, choose repair startup. This is of course if you performed this right. The computer is not going to give you a alot of time to choose when it says hit any key to boot from cd, so watch close. As soon as you see the Toshiba screen tap F12, this will bring up a one time boot order change menu, arrow down to the cd/dvd drive and select it by hitting enter, the computer will reboot and will try to boot from the cd. This is where you have to be watching for the hit any key message. If you get to the point where windows is loading files off the cd, there may be hope we can take care of this here. First try to repair the start....reboot and let the computer reboot without the disc....if it does not do it all again and this time choose to restore the computer to another time and pick a day or two before the problem. choose ok and let the laptop reboot and restore. See if it will reboot onits own, if it does, great.....if not get back to us.

EToshiba Satellite A100-S8111TD - Laptop do not finish boot on startup

Upon powering on, press the F8 button to load other options, choose safe mode only and hit enter.

If you were able boot windows under safe mode, you can try to do system restore or uninstall any program you've recently installed which cased the problem.

If you were NOT able to boot to safe mode, you need to do full system recovery and re install the OS. Insert the recovery disc and press F12 upon powering on to load boot menu then choose CD/DVD rom.

Hope this helps,

Not booting up

Unfortunately you Windows OS crashed. Try pressing the F8 once you boot up. It should lead you to an option screen where you will be choosing SAFE MODE only. If you can boot up to windows under safemode you can do system restore or uninstall the program you just installed.

If you can't go into safe mode. Use the recovery disc. Pop disc 1 then upon booting the computer, press F12 to load boot menu then choose the dvd/cd drive. Once it finished loading, choose advanced option instead of Toshiba recovery wizard and it will lead you to system restore.

If both of the steps failed, unfortunately, you need to do full system recovery. Just do step 2 and choose Toshiba recovery Wizard, Out of the box state. This will delete all your data.

hope this helps.

WINSOWS CRASHING

Ok, lets try something different,
Do you have the cds that came with your Dell. If not call up tech support on 1-800-624-9896 and request for them

Otherwise do the following steps
1. Power on the system
2.Tap on the F12 key slowly five times on the Dell logo screen
3. Select diagnostics
4.If everything passes then its good news , otherwise the faulty component is causing the crash

Part 2
1. Restart the system and again Tap on F12
2.Insert the windows xp cd
3. Select the option boot from cdrom and hit enter
4. Hit enter again when you see the message,"Press any key to boot from cd"
5.Windows starts to load
6.It will come to screen that would give you three options
a. to setup windows hit enter
b. to repair press R
c to exit exc.
7. Hit enter
8. Hit F8 on the next screen
9 On this screen it would again give you an option of repairing windows press R
10. Follow the wizard and the windows shoul start

Part 3.

If the above step fails to then the only option left is to backup your information on the system and wipe it clean .Thats a complete reset

Part 4
Restart the systen
On the Dell logo screen , hold down the CTRL key and tap on the F11 key 7 times slowly
You would see a Restore button.
Click restore and Confirm
FOllow the wizard
Caution all your information would be lost in this procedure

Thanks
