My LG stopped logging onto my yahoo email about a week ago. It runs the "thinking" screen forever and then comes back, "Could not complete validation. Please try again..." I took it to Verizon who said it needed a software update and it still will not log in. I signed out of my yahoo accounts on my computer, but still no luck. Any suggestions?

Re: My LG enV won't let me log onto my yahoo email
Try clearing the email, and password, and doing it all over again. Other than that I really dont know. Contact yahoo and see if they can help you. They helped me when I couldnt get my yahoo IM to connect. Good luck.

Reboot phone & then try, if that doesn't work (cures most nokia smart phone probs) then reset the account in (email & accounts)
nobody tells you this but you should power off your smart phone at least once a week to clear the memory & reboot it, it is just a little computer & gets clogged up now & then, with batterys lasting so long no 1 turns them off anymore & so much is running in the back ground that it just cant handle it anymore rebooting it sorts all that out.
All sites that require a user log in have an app for users who forget their user name and/or password. Go to where you log in to Yahoo. Look for a link for "forgot my password" on the log in page (you MAY have to submuit a wrong log in attempt to get that link). Click on it and it will take you to a page where you fill in your email and possibly answer some questions that you would know the answer to. They will send you an email with either your password, a temporary password, or a link to reset your password. If you cannot use this, for example if you use Yahoo mail and need the password just to get your emails, call Yahoo customer servoce, at 1 (855) 317 0671.
On the Status screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, the File Freefield indicates low ,if the device memory is full then these things will happen on your device,so to never have this problem delete unwanted applications. To delete run desktop manager and select application loader, select the applications that are not frequently used and remove them. Also keep the messages for a month or two because these mails will be there in your mail box.
Disabling your Yahoo email to the Blackberry won't solve your slowdown issues. The Blackberry is the preferred way to receive emails from a mobile device. You could have several different email accounts set up (i.e. gmail, hotmail, yahoo, ect.) and it wouldn't impact your performance. RIM is most known for their ease of set up and ability to forward / read email from a mobile. Check for other issues regarding slow down such as other processes running, slow network connection, ect.
If you are signed onto your mobile IM it wont work until you open it up and put it back on the main screen. If you aren't logged into anything, then it sounds like a tech problem, call Verizon and have them walk you through it. Good luck!
Okay, you never want to take a phone apart to get the water out. you will wont to keep the battery out for as long as possible and what i would do is put a blow dryer to it, maybe about 20 minutes a day for a week (remember being careful not to leave it in the same place to log) and then once the week is over but the battery back in and attempt to turn it on. if it does not work you may want to just get a new one. water damage is serious. and if you open up the phone there is a great risk of getting shocked.
Just log on to www.verizonwireless.com log in and you can activate the phone online. You cannot just swap the Sim card. If you have issues activating it online you can just call Verizon and have them activate the old phone.
i just got the enV and iam having the same problem. i cannot find any option to allow it to go through. but i think it will allow you to access aol, msn, yahoo accounts (or some provider like those) and iam going to set up a foward from my email to an account with one of those providers.
