SOURCE: my transceiver yaesu ft-one can't received/monitor and transmit

Thanks 4 your advice.
I left the radio w/o any batteries (the only battery is back up memory battery) in that time, and when I try the radio I used new batteries. The power supply for the radio is build in (uses 30 amperes switching power supply) and I have checked that the power supply is in a good condition. I suspect that PLL unit is not working so can't oscillation to generate frequencies.
The problem with sending the unit to the factory to be serviced is not worth (cost > benefit/ radio value).
Do you have another idea to help me? Please.. Thanks

SOURCE: how to tx and rx between t5920 and yaesu vx6r

The T5920 is user programmable. It appears your VX6R does not have a CODE turned on, if you can receive transmissions from the T5920, but not talke back. The T5920 has both a CODE and a Qt filter. The Qt filter must be set to zero to communicate with other brands of radios. And to turn off your CODE, you will need to set it to zero also. FT-8000 stuck on transmit after mic switched

It sounds like you are using the wrong mic for the radio or the mic has been wired incorrectly or the mic has become faulty or the radio has become faulty. Unplug the mic and see if the radio receives and works correctly. You should be using a Yaesu model MH-36b or a MH-42B microphone.

Yaesu 101ex has no reccive or transmit

The problem is likely the TX/RX relay. If it is old (and I am sure it is) the contacts likely need to be cleaned, or the relay replaced. It is a common enough relay if you want to replace it. Also, pull each PCB card and clean the contacts with a pencil eraser. Pink erasers are OK but the white ones are better as they aren't as abrasive.

Hope this helps, VE3CMQ

When I press the PTT of my yaesu ft-2980, it does not transmit

Check your transmit frequency to make sure it is within the proper range. Also verify proper battery voltage, it will typically transmit with low voltage.

Radio power`s on but no transmit or receive on ssb however it will transmit with full power on fm

If your receiver was operating previously but now the SSB option is not working, very likely the sideband detector has failed. I'm not directly familiar with your Yaesu unit but, in most Yaesu transceivers, the SSB chip and control circuit (including diodes) is identified in print on the main board.

Radio will not recieve

Hi Andy,
What you have is an amateur radio which requires a license to operate it.
Having said that, I don't know where you got the unit from, but obviously, the unit has had the frequencies deleted, so you cannot operate it until you go to a radio workshop to have the unit re-programmed.
You will only get receive(RX) frequencies programmed, no transmit(TX) frequencies. Sorry, but if you want to operate this unit, you will need to approach the Wireless Institute of Australia(WIA), who are responsible for licensing of radio amateur operators in Australia.
web:www.vk6wia.net for all the info re: licensing requirements.

Cheers,
Peter

Will not receive and transmit on 15mtrs and 17mtrs

Hi Seamus,

Is this only on those bands, not an issue with other bands?

If so, then your radio may not be fitted with the correct frequencies to transmit on those bands, they are after all allocated in part to the Amateur operators, which requires licensing to operate.

The fact you can't Tx/Rx, indicates this to be the issue.

I can't help you if you are not a licensed HAM Operator, sorry...

Enjoy the other bands available for your radio.

Cheers,
Peter
