SOURCE: Parking Brake wire on Jensen VM9311TS

It may need to see a Positive....not a ground (the brake wire rests at ground and goes positive when the pedal is pressed). but to answer your question, the brake wire for your car is Light Green and is at the brake switch above the pedal.

SOURCE: blue screen will not go away

These methods have worked on a variety of Dual DVD systems (mainly XDVD8181, also XDVD710), unsuprisingly, since Dual stated to me that most installations have the same codes. WARNING! It is usually ILLEGAL and most of all UNSAFE to drive while watching video. I only watch video while parked, and I suggest you do the same. This is for demonstration purposes only, if you use these codes, you do so at your own risk. STEP ONE. Ground the E-Brake wire. No matter which method you use, you must ground the brake detection wire. I suggest you tap it into the ground wire on your wiring harness (ensures a good ground). 1. FACTORY RESET METHOD (Temporary) (This isn't the most effective, but it is the easiest to try, so it's worth a shot since it apparently works on some units.) ** Go to the Menu ** Get to the Settings Menu ** Select to Reset to Factory Settings. Credit: DKA Have recently heard complaints of this method not being permanent, as this is needed everytime they want to watch a DVD. Also, radio and screen angle presets are lost. ---------------- 2. AUDIO CD METHOD (Permanent) ** Insert Audio CD ** Press PLAY ** Press STOP twice on remote ** Enter 26604 on remote ** Press ENTER ** Take out Audio CD and Insert a DVD Credit: Myself via a DUAL Tech ---------------- 3. DVD METHOD (Permanent) ** Insert a DVD ** Let it play until you hear sound ** Press STOP twice on remote ** Enter 26604 ** Press ENTER Credit: Adam P. The blue warning screen should immediately go away after pressing the last digit of "26604." Still press ENTER as a precaution.

You'll have to connect the wire "parking brake" at the back of the JVC to your ground wire (black)!

SOURCE: watch a dvd while driving pioneer AVH-P4000 DVD

Hi Dave
No ....go to a hardware store buy a toggle switch than get a single speaker wire (small wire) attach it to the red wire on the back of your pioneer deck (make sure to leave the red wire in back of deck as well) and attach it to the power on the toggle switch do the same with the black wire (ground wire) the black wire will go into the toggle switch under the power wire. finally install the parking break wire from the pioneer unit to the last slot on toggle switch and this should do the trick if not swap the ground spot for the brake spot on toggle switch >>>> MAKE SURE THE TOGGEL SWITCH HAS 3 HOOK UPS to do this correctly (your system will provide sound with the toggle switch off (Blue Screen) but when toggle switch is on you get video while driving) good luck

How to install my Alpine in my 2001 525I BMW also how to by-pass the wires that allow the DVD to work without the e-brake on.

to install it you need to buy a dash kit for your car from walmart or amazon.com then you buy for your model and car the wire adapter kit. plain and simple from there. colored wires connected together easy as plug and play. to by pass the e-brake you need to buy a relay.
here is something i wrote up awhile ago for a buddy to bypass his after he took pictures of his model back.
On the back on the unit there should be an additional wire labeled as the "Parking Brake" or something to that effect. Law implies that this should be spliced into the Parking Brake wire (which is essentially a constant hot which becomes a ground when engaged). So the obvious thing here is to simply ground the Parking Brake wire on the back of the radio. This can be done just splicing it into the black wire on the radio harness.

IVA-D106 Car DVD Player: no picture on screen while dvd is playing...

Im guessing that if you can hear sound but have no picture and this is newly installed that your unit is wired to your parking brake as a safety feature. You need to disconnect it and connect the wire to the radio ground to bypass it.

What color wire do i hook the pink wire to

Pink wire is generally the parking brake safety. If you dont want the dvd player to play video while in drive wire it to the ground on your parking brake sensor wire. If you do want it to play video while your driving, wire it directly back to the ground wire on your stereo.

Dvd plays but it turn blue whit no pic

Yes, your parking brake safety wire has been run the correct way, so it will only play when you are in park. If that is the case, you must disconnect the pink parking brake wire from the parking brake ground, and connect it to the radio units main ground wire. This will tell it that it is always in park. Caution, they put the wire there for a reason, very distracting to have a movie playing in the front seat.
