Question about Computers & Internet
I recently purchased a new computer that operates on Windows 8. When I tried to install my D-Link USB adapter so I could connect to my wireless network, I get an error saying I need to update my service pack to Win2000 SP4 or WinXP SP1. As you can probably tell, these service packs are terribly outdated and can not be installed on Windows 8. I don't know what to do, any help will be appreciated.
You must use a wired connection to update the drivers
if possible for the usb adaptor
as you don't post the model number for the usb adaptor it may not have drivers written for Windows 8 available

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: wireless adapter
You need to reinstall the drivers for the wireless card. If you give me the exact make and model of the computer I can send you the link where you can download the driver for free. If you need expert help doing this send me an email with your number and I will call you and walk you through the procedure. email@example.com I have a BA in Computer Science and I do this for a hobby. I just like helping people so there will be no charges to you at all. Make sure you send me the exact make and model of the computer and ant service tag number or serial numbers to ensure I direct you to the proper driver. It's pretty straight forward. I'll send you the link and you just download the drivers on another computer, place the install file on a thumb drive or cd and run it on the computer in question. Once the proper drivers are installed your problem will be solved. I hope you find this helpful.

Reinstall the driver to the WG111 (after SP3 is installed).

Try installing service pack 3. I have found from experience that drivers that were not found with sp2 installed were suddenly located after install of sp3.

Photo impact pro as a software has compatibility requirements. For example, impact pro was invented during the times of windows Xp operating systems with Microsoft computers. Imply that, impact pro would hardly function with apple Mac computers. Since the Xp operating systems, computers have gone through design fronts of Windows Vista 1 & 2, and recently displaying Windows 7 on those acquired on the market over years ago. The most recent multimedia photo editor software's acquirable on the retail market have compartibilies with more recent computers. Alternately, performing a computer alteration may achieve installation capabilities. First, finding a computer still functioning on windows XP, millennium, 2000 or 1998 would make installation possible. However, sustain wearsomeness since windows 98 earlier years computers were least designed for multimedia capabilities as known with Photo Impact Pro 8.5. Second, a possibility of acquiring Windows Xp disk software on the retail market to replace the one on the computer would make impact pro installable. However like known of operating system software's, it is only possible to install the same operating system on an existing one on a computer as restoration purposes. If different software should be acquired like XP requesting installation on windows Vista or Windows 7, the entire hard disk drive has to be erased of media traces of the prior. Alerternately, a new operating system may be installed if only a new hard drive, memory cards were acquired to replace the prior on the computer to make possible installation of Photo Impact pro 8.5
