Question about Water Heaters
Hi, we have a vaillant ecomax condensing boiler positioned in the loft. We had a vrt340f thermostat controller on the wall below the loft hatch. This was working ok until the batteries ran out. We replaced them but since then the boiler seems to be ignoring the controller & only operating to low temps. The green light on the receiver was flashing suggesting a radio fault but nothing had been changed from before other than the batteries. I've had someone out to look at it & after reprogramming it which didn't work it was replaced with a salus rt300rf controller. Now after 2 days this also doesn't seem to be working. The set temp is 20 but it has gone to 18.5 degrees without coming on & then after increasing the set temp to 21 it has now gone up to 23 degrees! Is this new controller compatible or what else could be wrong? Thanks

check to see the time clock is set with the clock symbol. there are three settings on analog clocks I , O and clock the I setting is constant running, the O setting is off and the clock setting is timer.
also try setting the thermostat up higher to see if the boiler fires.
