Question about Uniden Cordless Phone

Getting 'busy signals and line in use message' on my phone.

I keep getting busy signals on my phone (DE model 27959GE6 - a) and a 'line in use' display .

Checked the lines and they look okay. tried tkong it out for a break and alternately switch to a vtech brand with the same result.

The "line in use" indicates that there is not enough current on your line, either there is a broken wire and the phone is not getting any current, or there is a short on your line reducing the current on your line.

you should unplug your phone and check with a diffrent phone to see if there is any dial tone on the jack that you have a problem with... if everything is good with a diffrent phone then it is likely that the trouble is your phone, if the trouble still exists, bring a corded phone to the NID outside of your home, and test if there is dial tone there, and that you can make and receive calls... if the trouble goes away, they you need to troubleshoot further inside your home, if the trouble still exists, then you have a trouble outside that your local phone company needs to take care of, and you should contact them so that they can make the repairs..

Nortel startalk one of my extensions keeps getting calls and when answered there is just a busy signal on the other end. What is causing this?


If answering live call and is busy signal on the other end then could be a recording from far end....call a tech in.

If voice mail message is busy signal it could be same as above or Disconnect Supervsision is not programmed on the lines and with the carrier.....this detects when caller hangs up then system knows to hang up, if does not hangup then you get busy signal.

I am trying to fax, but I keep getting a "busy"


Make sure you have pluuged the telephone line lead into the "LINE" socket and not the "TEL" socket of the fax machine. I reckon thats why you are not dialling out correctly. If this is in an office, make sure you are dialling the access number for an outside line, usually a 9 before the phone number.

When calling our office, customers get a busy signal


Your voicemail system is down. You have to locate the card in the system usually all the way to the right in the cabinet, and reset it with the little black dip switch on the front of it. push it down and wait 5 minutes than push it back up and wait for a green lcd on the upper part of the card. Or you lost your voicemail system programming. You may need tech support or a tech to come out. ldtsnj.com

CIT310 - registration problems with the base


use the pager button, keep it pressed for about 15 seconds, and then use the register option from the phone, handset will pick up the signal. You may have to do this multiple times.

My vetech cordless phone is not working


DO you have a 2 line model? If so check and make sure the conf (conference) button is not pushed as it will keep the line off-hook forever. Hope this helps!

Trouble obtaining my messages - Model DCT646-3


The DCT646 does not have answering machine so I assume you are using voice mail from your telephone service provider. You would need to contact them to find out why you are getting the busy signal.

Callers are getting a busy signal when my phone is not in use.


sounds to me that the phone set is shorted when you pick up the reciever it shorts the line but if the phone is already shorted this is why people are getting the busy signal
