SOURCE: memory card

Try to check the Memory card if it is compatible with your new camera. To know this you need to read the owners manual and try to check the directions on putting your memory card. Your memory card must be check also from a computer if it is still functional. If you have files like old pictures try to save to that card. if the save files are opened then your memory card is working. But if is not then your card needs to be reformat. if it cannot be formatted thats the end of its life. You need to have a new one.

Please reply if it works or not. To give you more advices.

SOURCE: Why can't you use 8GB memory card in Z710

I have a kodak z710 camera with a 2 gig card in it. I was wanting to get a 4 gig sdhc and i wasn't sure if the HC would work with this camera. HC stands for high capacity which means it allows the camera to load files on to the card faster. this may be the problem the kodak may not be HC compatable. but as i have said i have a 2 gig and it works fine with that. and i have a friend that has a 4 gig in thiers but once again i don't think it is HC so i would exchange the card if you can for just a regular SD/MMC card or SD card

2gb memory cards seem to be obsolete & the 4gb don't seem to work??

Try your local supermarket or drugstore. Many of them carry memory cards and, since they tend to be a bit behind on the technology curve, still carry older, smaller cards.

Kodak Easy Share C653 question

As a wild guess, are both of your new memory cards larger than 2GB?

The C653 works with MMC and SD cards. If you new cards are larger than 2GB then they're actually SDHC cards. While they fit into the slot they are electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use cards 2GB and smaller.

On the contrary. The EX1011 is designed to work with SD cards. Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it is electronically incompatible and the frame will not recognize it as a memory card. You need to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

I hae inserted a brand new memory card PYN 16mg with no pictures. I tried to format the memroy card and got "file sys error e00100"

16MB or 16GB? If you just bought it, I doubt it's 16MB so I'm going to assume it's 16GB.

The C330 works with MMC and SD cards. A 16GB card is actually an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it is electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use cards 2GB and smaller.

If it actually is a 16MB card, please reply to this post and we'll take it from there.

The shutter wont engage.

Preliminary searching leads me to believe that this camera won't take anything larger than a 1GB memory card.

Memory card will not engage

This is the problem with many makes model of camera like computer stuff they are machine made and taking bits off and replacing them ain't a job for human fingers. I have just to tpday stripped a picture viewer device it has a two chamber card housing- one for Compact the other for Smart Media cards. There is no way can this housing [which I was hoping to use on another camera] of the ma-inboard with out wrecking stuff.
