Everything else works just not the touch screen

I have the same problem...have tried re-calibrating , based on the instructions received from Nintendo. Nintendo tells me that the unit needs to be repaired at a minimum cost of $75, which is totally ridiculous, especially since the unit sells for $125. I'm really disappointed in Nintendo. My unit is less than a year old, although I'm being told that based on the serial # that the unit is not covered under warranty and is in beautiful shape...never been dropped or abused and I'm extremely disappointed in this product and Nintendo's handling of this issue. Pls advise if you have any luck or experiences that might help.

I have a dsi xl and my touch screen does not work anymore. used all day befor and started it up next day and now touching it does nothing. everything else seems to work fine.

Sounds like a hardware problem, in which case there really are no recommendable do-it-yourself solutions. Contact the store you bought the system from, if the DSi XL is still under warranty, or take it to a repair shop.

I replaced my DS Lite Touch Screen and now it doesn't respond.

Im really bad at describing things but I hope this helps xD

Please don't for the love of pete go buy another screen. You will only have the same problem like 50 times over.

Since the touch screen isn't working use the rrow keys and the "A" button to selct everything

Take the game out of the DS and turn it back on. Go to the options menu when the DS is on the main Screen(If you dunno what the menu icon is it's at the bottom of the screen about the centre.. the icon is a cute mini DS)

Once you are on the options menu go to the yellow screen and select it ... This is where you calibrate your DS.. i.e make the touch screen work again in most cases.

You should probably calibrate the screen weekly cause the DS is lazy and doesn't remember where the touch sensors are ..

I hope I've helped you and Good Luck xD

DS lite screen

Hahahahaha that is how it works but if you go to the little DS at the bottom of the touch screen and tap it there will be a fixer manual use it and when you are done the system will shut off and just turn it on again and also the touch screen is the most important thing on your ds so keep it scratchless and clean! On some games the top screen is an important thing and somtimes it doesnt show anything

Reseating Touch Screen Ribbon Cables

The cable for the touchscreen is one with 4 conductors that connect directly to the overlay on the face of the LCD. The flat ribbon connector on the main board is quite delicate. The three connectors for the bottom screen are on the right side of the component side of the DS phat board. The touchscreen is labeled P6. On the DS Lite, the connector is closer to the R button.

Good Luck
