Question about GE Spacemaker JVM1640SJ Microwave Oven
We have a Panasonic NN-K655 microwave oven but have no idea how to replace the lampwithout taking the oven apart! Am I missing something?
If you don't see a removable panel inside the cavity, yes, it will have to get nekkid.
Obviously, pull the AC plug first; there are potential very dangerous uninsulated points inside.
It shouldn't be too tough, there are normally only 5-8 screws along the edge of the back panel to be removed, then lifting the back edge of the housing should free it from the front lip and it should slide off. Sometimes, finding one of the compact bulbs is more work than the replacement of it.
