SOURCE: Needle keeps falling out of Pfaff Creativ 2170

Check that the metal plate under the needle is properly fixed into the machine.

If the needle is hittling the plate, it can get stuck and fall out.

If the needle keeps getting out then the small pin that keep the needle is broken, you will need to take apart the machine to fix this.

That can be tricky. Some thread guides and needle clamps have to be assembled and then slid up into place with the needle screw holding it together. Some have a set screw to hold it.

SOURCE: I need a manual for a White 2200 multi- tasker sewing machine.

You need to take this to a repair person.
I do have a manual but you can go to and get one. Also the tension is a big problem if you don't use the exact bobbin. I was told that most bobbins will work in this machine but it turns out that only the one that comes with the machine really works. I would look for the parts to your machine. Sometimes they get lost in your sewing kit.

SOURCE: needle clamp fell off. got a new one, but need

I have an XL6452 and the same problem. I figured out that you can use a tiny screw driver (or an allen wrench might work). I tried using the screw that tightens the needle but it didn't seem to work. The screw looks like it just a hole. It took a lot of turns to get it loose enough so you can put it on. You will see it come out.
Once you get it on you can tighten it.

I dropped a screw down the throat of the machine. How do I get it out?

Lift the machine, turn it upside down and shake it. That's how we do it here in the shop.

How do I remove a stuck bobbin casing from a Bernina sewing machine?

Is it a drop in bobbin machine? If so, take off the needle and the needle plate (=throat plate), and you should have clearance to pull it out. If it's a vertical bobbin machine, taking off the needle plate may buy you the extra clearance you need to get things out again. Sometimes a drop of sewing machine oil every where you see a potential "bind spot" can help. Just mop out the excess oil after you've retrieved the bits that fell in.

Needle clamp tragedu

The needle clamp usually has a screw on the back that is tightened to prevent the needle holder from falling off. The screw on the back should be very loose. Place the holder on the arm (moves when you rotate the wheel by hand) with the screw towards the back and the hand screw on the side. Tighten the screw in the back and it shouldn't come off. Now, place the wire on the side where the hand screw on the inside of the hole along with the arm and place your needle in. Now you can tighten.

My machine started knocking & the lower thread jamming; how do i fix it?

have you tried a new needle
Correct needle insertion is mandatory for proper use of your sewing machine.
Raise the needle bar to the highest point, then loosen the needle clamp screw to remove the old needle.
Place the new needle in the needle clamp with the flat side of the needle facing the back, (round needle, the groove in the needle should face away from the shaft).
Push the needle all the way up as far as it will go. Then tighten the needle clamp screw.
check the bobbin to make sure it's not damaged
rethread the machine top & bobbin
clean under the needle plate & in the bobbin area for lint or threads
also make sure the top thread doesn't come off the thread take up

This was happening to me also - you have to tighten a different screw than the one that holds the needle in.

My husband thought the screw was missing - it is actually a plastic screw with a hole in it for a tiny allen wrench.

You can see it in this picture also

If you look at the photo of the screw I attached, you can zoom in and see it has a hexagonal hole.

It is above the flat head needle clamp screw (the one that holds the needle in)

It is REALLY annoying that this screw is mentioned nowhere in the manual, and the hex allen wrench is not included with the machine.

Kind of an important little detail, considering it holds the needle assembly together... you'd think that they would have told you about it.

I have a Husqvarna Emma sewing machine. The needle broke and a piece is under the bobbin holder. How can I get under the bobbin holder?

I was able to gain entrance into the area by taking out 1 screw (star head), slightly pulling on the plastic compartment to cause a small opening. I then tilted the machine and the needle fell out. The screw is located on the rear of the sewing machine, right behind the bobbin compartment. A flat head screw is also needed to "Pry" open the plastic.

Need to get needle that I dropped into the sewing machine shaft.

Hi there,
If you don't want to take it to a "repairer" then I would suggest that you remove the screws and open up the machine to retrieve the needle. Just be mindful of where you removed the screws from i.e. the size as there may be several different sizes.
