System32.DLL plays an important role on Windows system file. This DLL holds crucial system information and must not bet be deleted. Viruses, spywares, and computer bugs deleted and damaged system32.DLL files could be the possible causes of system32.dll error. I am suggesting you use a reliable registry scanner. and perform a full system scan.

Suggestion: Unregister the DLL and then register it. regsvr32.exe /u c:/winnt/system32/shell32.dll Then re-register it. regsvr32.exe c:/winnt/system32/shell32.dll 1: it appears the Dynamic Link Library has been corrupted or hijacked by another application. Such as Norton or Mcafee or some other anti-virus. 2: it is not set to load when starting Windows. (administrator turned if off - Manual) The DLL is written by Microsoft. Copy the file from another computer with the same service pack level, then with the computer in SAFE MODE, copy the new shell32.dll to the Windows/System32 directory.

How to remove virus

First of, your question is a tricky question.
There are many anti-virus programmes on the net. Free and pay. Things to keep in mind is virus come first than the anti-virus comes out. Virus programmers are always looking for weakness in a system and they write a virus for many purposes. Other annoying facts is even if the virus was killed or out of the programme, it is very hard to fix anything they have damaged. So, you have to keep in mind even though you successfully killed a virus you still need to fix damage it has cause. That is why IT people always recommend to back up your data, format your HDD and reinstall windows and the programmes you are using.
Said that, now let's get to the virus problem.
Free anti-viruses:
1. AVG
3. Avira
4. McFee

1. Norton
2. Microsoft - ForeFront, Security Essential (comes with Windows license version.)
3. Kespersky

The above anti-viruses are good in their own ways. As said before you need fixes, patches to fix the damage. They also have fixes once the virus has been identified. Check out their websites by google searching.

Good luck mate.

Norton anti virus

The best anti virus programme in my view is Norton Anti Virus. If Norton tells you a programme is a potential problem, it is.
You can download from Symantec the uninstall programme that will remove Norton.

Apparantley i have a trojan worm in my lap top, i have norton and caled them they say i have a problem and my laptop is out of warranty and i have to purchase another one is this true

NO, you do NOT have to purchase a new laptop.

What the people at Norton probably meant was that your Norton anti virus software has expired and you need to purchase a new anti virus subscription from Norton if you want them to help you.

There are however other anti virus software manufacturers out there that are free and/or will allow you a 30 day trial period.

To help you clean out the worm in your system:

  • Find out the name of the worm you have on your system (your norton program will tell you this).
  • Go to this page:
  • Click on the link that has the same name as the worm on your system (don't worry about the I-worm or W32 part of the name, e.g. if your worm name contains navidad you want to click the I-worm/navidad link or if your worm name contains bugbear you want to click the I-worm/Bugbear.C link etc.)
  • Follow the instructions on the page you get to in order to get rid of your problem.
Hope this helps ;)

Do I need a Norton-type security for my laptop, or is AVG sufficient ?

AVG is more than sufficient for a home computer.
Norton takes quite a lot of system resources and slows computers down dramatically. AVG on the other hand uses 2/3rds less resources than Norton and is just as good.

How will i remove the virus manually?

i hope you got norton off your system before putting AVG free on. Virus programs try to fight off other virus programs by postiong false virus claims to erase the other program. eventually they will kill your hard drive. You need a product key for a good virus protectant. Norton or CA offer good, reliable protection for your dollar. What i would do, is back up any really important stuff you have there, format your hard drive and install Vista again if you have the disc and then re-install it to permanetly delete viruses. Also your system maybe slow because VIsta needs at least a dual core processor and 2 GB RAM to work like a XP machine

Unwanted down loads

if you have an anti virus programme installed, start your pc in safe mode (F8 while booting up) and then run your anti virus and anti spyware programme and also check your temp folder for suspicious folders dated arond the time you downloaded, the only free good anti virus programme is AVG 8 free if you don't have one.

you may need to clear all your temp files as you may have corrupt cookies, firstly download this free programme called Ccleaner and run the cleaner and the registry checker

Next make sure that both your anti virus and antispyware programme is upto date and run a scan, if your Norton is out of date and you want to use a free programme, download AVG Free, its excellent and with free updates, but uninstall Norton before you install AVG as your system will freeze up.

next open your web  I.Explorer browser, go to tools, internet options, security tab and check it's set at medium.

You should now be able to surf the net with no problem
