Question about Kenmore HE2 Plus Front Load Washer
Hi there, I woke up this morning wanting to do my sunday laundry...and I'm not able to. My washer is a Kenmore HE2 Plus Washer with the Model #: 110.47532602. The washer will not start, but I know that it is being powered as the 'Controls Locked' light is currently on. After a few hours of research, it appears to be a child safety lock. I have tried holding down the pad locked button on the right hand side (even for over a minute; praying it would work). I am wondering if this could be a potentially serious issue with the washer and if I should have someone in to repair it or if it is an easy fix? The washer is about 2 - 2 1/2 years old.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I had a similair problem . Turned out the wire plug for the water temprature sensor had come unplugged. Plugged it back in near the lower rear of the drum and it worked!

I'm sure this is probably too late, but hopefully it will help some else. I just had the same problem. First, unplug the power. Then take the lower front panel off and grabbed a bucket. Place the bucket under the large "plug" on your right. This is the drain. Slowly unscrew the drain plug, Hold your nose as it will probably smell. Allow the water and such to drain into the bucket. When you see the blob of wet lint drop into the bucket you will know why the machine refused to work. Make sure you clean the drain plug and screw it back in tightly. Put the lower panel back on and reconnect the power. I hope this resolves your issue.
