Does it have a fan in the back? Is it spinning? If it does have a fan that is not spinning, you may be able to replace it. Another possibility is a short in the speaker wiring, check the wires to make sure that a strand or wire is not contacting another wire...

SOURCE: Samsung ht-x50 way to noisy. Removed and cleaned

They are similar to other electronic equipment fans. I believe it runs on 12 volts, should be listed on the fan name sticker. Look on ebay for a same size fan....should be available for a few dollars.

SOURCE: need part number for new

You need part # AH31-00056B and you can get it here -
http://www.samsungparts.com/Products/Parts_and_Accessories/PID-AH31-00056B.aspx
Now the install of this is very easy. First unplug the unit. Second don't mess with with or touch anything else but the fan and the wires on it.

  1. Put a towel down on a table of other hard surface. You have to turn your receiver upside down and don't want to scratch it.
  2. There will be 4 maybe 6 screws that hold the cover on the bottom side and maybe two more on the side, remove these.
  3. Carefully turn the radio back on its feet and carefully remove the cover.
  4. The fan is literally right there.
  5. Get a piece of paper and write down where the red/positive wire and black/negative wire lead to and also the way the "arrow" on the side of the fan is pointing. This is very important.
  6. Next warm up a soldiering pencil and remove the two wires that power the fan.
  7. Now remove the screws anchoring the fan.
  8. Now get the new fan and anchor it the same way as your wrote down. Pay attention to which way the "arrow" is pointing on the side of the fan. This indicates the way the wind will blow.
  9. Soldier the wire leads into the same place as you wrote down.
  10. Now replace the lid on your receiver.
  11. Job completed.

I have a samsung HT-Q100 and its plays well but it will turn off itself after 45 minutes of playing time. I've check the back of the player and it heats up really hot( on the right of the fan at the back)...

If the fan is not providing sufficient cooling (it could be that the fan needs replacement), try placing a portable fan where it blows on the back of the unit. If the unit continues to work, you'll know you need to replace the fan within the unit.

What does FanChck mean on my samsung HT-Z320? How to I fix it?

I had the same problem with my Samsung HT-BD1250. In my case the fan did not run at any time! As a safety precaution, to prevent overheating, when the fan is malfunctioning the receiver powers off. I simply opened up the receiver and discovered that the fan was not even connected! I just plugged it in and.....Voila! Works like a charm. Be warned though that if your unit is still under warranty, opening it up will likely void the warranty.

Overheating too fast.

There's a cooling fan on the back. Is it clogged up or otherwise not turning when hot? From Page 21...

Please observe the following cautions for your safety.
■ Make sure the unit is well-ventilated. If the unit has poor ventilation, the temperature inside the unit
may rise and may damage it.
■ Do not obstruct the cooling fan or ventilation holes. If the cooling fan or ventilation holes are covered
with a newspaper or cloth, heat may build up inside the unit and fire may result.

Samsung HT-A100 Home Cinema system plays cd only with tv on!

Hi,
You need to put away the remote for your TV and use only the remote for your HT system. Your HT remote should work on your TV by default. Your Samsung HT remote should have a TV button and a DVD/Receiver button (or HT button). When using only the TV, press the TV button and then use it for just the TV and when using the HT system, press the DVD/Receiver button and then you can use the HT system.
If for some reason your TV is not set on the Samsung HT remote by default, your HT users manual should have a list of codes that you can use to program your HT remote. Hope that helps you. Gary

Noisy Fan

There are lots of reports of noisy fans. The closest one I can find is to fit a HT-Q70T. It's part no: AH31-00039B. It's a "Motor-Fan C151BK10A2430".
