How do i turn on my bluetooth on my emachines pc

Click the "Start" button, then choose "Control Panel," "Network and Internet" then finally "Setup a Bluetooth enabled device."

Power on the Bluetooth Hardware you want to connect to the computer. You must have some sort of hardware to connect to the computer, in order to enable the Bluetooth connection.

Click "Add" and the computer searches for any Bluetooth hardware in the area. Once it detects the hardware, select it and click "Next."

Type in the passkey for the Bluetooth hardware (found in the device's user manual) and click "Next."

Install any drivers now that came with the Bluetooth hardware. (Insert the driver installation CD that comes with the Bluetooth hardware, wait for the the installation wizard to load onto the screen, accept the license agreement, then click "Next" for the installation name and location and select "Install" to install the drivers.)
Choose "Locate and install driver software" if there are provided drivers. If not, click "Don't show this message again for this device" and click "OK."

hope this helps

New dvd/cd lite come on then quits. I get error code 39

Error Code 39 means your system is not recognizing the dvd drive. Your old drive was probably ok. You more than likely need to remove upper and lower filters from the drive. First of all when you click Start/My Computer, does the drive show up? I'm betting it is not listed.

Type the following link into your internet browser where you would normally type a web page to get to. you don't need www. just type it as it is or copy and past this into the browser's address bar:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060

Once you get to microsoft's site scroll down to the middle of the page and click the Fixit button. When it is done see if your dvd drive is ok. If not, you can scroll down thru the webpage and fix it yourself. Just go to the area that applies to your operating system.

I have no sound on my pc

Hello
Driver software to audio may not be installed in your system. Check whether it displays any audio hardware by opening its device manager Tab. To get into this option, Right clik the My Computer Icon, clik on Hardware tab on the pop up window, and click Device Manager tab. You can see all the installed hardware there. Check whether there is any audio devices installed. If installed, you can see it here. If not, there will be a quistion mark against audio devices. OK.

After about 30 minutes the computer freezes. I just recently installed a new monitor with the drivers. I have disabled the power saver, hibernate, and anything that could cause the computer to enter sleep...

If all of this just started happening after installing the new monitor, then it's probably the drivers that were installed for your monitor conflicting with your computer. Try deleting the monitor's drivers by right-clicking 'My Computer' and selecting 'Properties'. Then, select the Hardware tab and go into Device Manager. Find the Monitors section in the list of devices and click the plus sign beside it to expand the node. Right-click the monitor there and click 'Uninstall' to remove it. Use another monitor and see if the problem still persists. If not, then you know there's a problem with the new drivers for your monitor. You'll need to contact the manufacturer to get updated drivers for it.

Error # 57=usb port not working

I will be happy to assist you with that.

You get this error code if there is an issue with the drivers.
One of the drivers controlling the device notified the operating system that the device failed in some manner.
I would suggest that you run a hardware troubleshooter.
Open the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter by clicking the Start, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting. Under Hardware and Sound, click Configure a device.‌ If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Refer the link: Open the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Open-the-Hardware-and-Devices-troubleshooter
Refer the link to learn more about the error codes: Explanation of error codes generated by Device Manager in Windows XP Professional: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310123
This article is also applicable for Windows 7.
I would also suggest that you manually download the drivers for the device from the manufacturer’s website and install the latest drivers and check

Dvd rw wont work

From the device manager, delete the entry for the DVRW and then reboot or rescan for defvices. You might also check LiteOn's web site for a newer driver. If no luck, see if you can install it in another PC. If no luck there, the unit is just flaky and should be replaced.

My Lite-on DVD RW-SHW-160-P65 ATA Device does not work after I install Window Vista I had windows XP BEFORE AND NOW IT does not find the driver for it or will not open make it work I have rolling it back...

Have you checked the computer manufacturer's website for drivers?

You can also try this:

Always backup your registry before editing and use care to find exact key!
Start Registry Editor (Start, Run and type in regedit then click)

Find "UpperFilters" and "LowerFilters" (and "UpperFilters.bak" "LowerFilters.bak", if they exist) value under the following key in the registry, and delete it:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Quit Registry Editor.

Reboot.

NOTE: You might need to reinstall any CD recording apps you have, if they start to not work completely, after doing this.

Cd drive isn't working

I just had this happen to me as well. Try opening the case and re-seating all the connectors on the DVD drive and the mother board. If the drive still will not operate after that you may have to purchase a new one. They are fairly cheap and easy to install.

If windows sees the drive in device manager you can attempt to update the firmware. To access device manager, right click on My Computer and then go to properties. Then click the Hardware tab and then the Device Manager button. Look under DVD/CD-Rom Drives and see if it's listed. If it is, then get the model information off the the drive. Sometimes it is listed in Device Manger, sometimes not, you may have to take the drive out of the PC. After you get the info, post it here and I can point you in the right direction of a firmware update.
