Question about GE RCA 4-Line Speakerphone
This is an RCA 4 line speakerphone. I recently changed service providers and I can't get the blinking message waiting light to turn off. I cannot access the old voicemail to clear it.
I would even reset the entire phone to factory specs if that will clear the light. Any help?
The message indicator is controlled by a signal from the service provider; whether that be The Phone Company, a VOIP setup or your internal PBX. Try powering off the phone, disconnecting the phone lines and powering it on. At this point the light should be cleared. If that works, plug in phone lines one by one, waiting a while in-between, to see what line is causing the indicator to light. Another (inelegant) solution is a small piece of black electrical tape.

Unplug the phone from power for about ten minutes and see if that resets it..i'm not sure if that uses and adaptor for power... but be aware it also gets power from the phone line as well... so unplug that too.
