Question about Lexmark X3650 Printer

1 Answer

Suggest that I check my cables, this is the very same problem...

I have a problem where the computer fails to recognise the Scanner in my X3650 which I just bought and suggest that I check my cables, this is the very same problem I am experiencing with yet another Lexmark scanner P4350 which worked for a while.... So I have now got two printer/scanner that the scanner don't work... Is this a major problem with Lexmarks??? in it's production?

I am getting pissed of with them flogging these unworkable products on to the market for us to buy... I had contacted Lexmark in regards the Lexmark P4350 which worked for while and they were unable to fix it and now I having to chase the X3650 again, I won't being buying thier scanners again...

I had tried swapping cables/buying new cable, using diffrent USB plugs and reloading/deleting software...

Lexmark Scanners=Sh*t

I might just go and buy another one from a different make any ideas anyone?

Depending on how much you want to scan on a daily basis, we use Fujitsu's for our very high volume scanning needs (2,000+ pages per day) and then we use 15-20 different Cannon scanners for smaller jobs (60 to 500 pages per day) We have very little issues with either. I also should mention that we use a SCSI connection, not USB.
If you are looking for a reliable scanner, and you don't need color, I'd recommend a canon/fujitsu.

Thank you

WINDOWS SET UP FAILS TO LOCATE THE HARD DRIVE ACESS SEEMS TO BE DENIED

Mabee the hard drive has failed . try entering bios and see if the hard drive is recognised .If not try turning the computer off unplug it then reconnect the drive data cable and power cable
then re- start the computer and see if it is recognised. some models of older hard drives needed a driver installed during set up -- you usually have to put the driver on a floppy disc and hit the f6 button when prompted by windows set up to install third party drivers . I hope this helps

After installing software scanner is nor recognised and doesnot recognise Twain

Check device manager to confirm that the scanner is listed there (If listed, this shows that the scanner is seen by the computer, if no yellow caution symbol against it, it shows that it is properly installed. If you see a yellow caution symbol against it, it means it is not installed). If not listed you should try another USB cable to see if that will resolve the matter. If the later is the case reinstall the scanner. If still not resolved you should confirm if the scanner software you are installing is actually correct for your operating system. If not go online to Canon site to download and install the right one.

Printer cannot communicate with printercommunicate

I would suggest:

Go to Printers and Faxes and delete your printer icon
Disconnect your printer's cable (connected to your PC)
Restart your PC
Reconnect the printer's cable
Your PC should see the printer and install the printer's driver software.

Hope this helps.

How to scan photos from a lexmark x3650 to computer

You must install the scanner software that came on your installation disc. If you do not have it you can download it from Lexmark itself. Without the software installed the computer has no idea that your printer has scanning capability.Once you are done you should be pleased, I have always gotten good scans from my Lexmark products.

All in One Scanner/Printer problems

Go to this link and type "cannot communicate with scanner" in the search box. Click Search. Then select the "ERROR: Cannot communicate with scanner" link. You will see several things to try to correct your problem. Usually, this error shows up if there is another USB device connected which prevents the computer from "seeing" the scanner, even though it can print without problem. So do try to disconnect any other USB device (except mouse or keyboard) and reboot the system.
