Problem for Encore 802.11G WIRELESS LAN ROUTER W/4-PORT SWITCH

I'm using an encore 802.11g wireless router
after about 20 minutes on my brand new dell inspiron laptop the wireless connection is lost, and the computer no longer see's the wireless card at all untill it's fully shut down and started up again.
My Dell tech has confirmed it is not the wireless card. We've troubleshooted for 2 days on this, checking everything on this end.
Is there something special I need to do for the connection not to poof?
