SOURCE: remote code

You can find the remote control codes for different brands of devices from
http://www.hifi-remote.com/ofa/codes-tv.shtml#tv

If none of the codes work then we have two other solutions:

1. Searching For Your Code

If you have tried all of the set-up codes for your brand of equipment ,or your brand is not listed, and you are still not able to get the unit to respond, try the following procedure to search for your code.
If you don't find a code that works, the remote will flash four times when you reach the end of all the codes for this device type.

  1. PRESS the button for the device you want to program, (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.), then RELEASE.
  2. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice, then RELEASE.
  3. ENTER 9-9-1 (two blinks on the remote)
  4. ALTERNATE slowly between the POWER key and the DEVICE (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.) button until your device turns off. (On VCR, LD, and CD players use PLAY instead of POWER)
Make sure that the remote is pointed at your device during the search, You may have to press this sequences of buttons up to 100 times to search the entire library of codes.
  5. When your device turns OFF, PRESS the SETUP button and RELEASE it to lock in the code for your device.

2. Learn the buttons from the original

Line up your original remote and the head-to-head before completing the following steps.
  1. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice.
  2. PRESS 9 - 7 - 5, the red LED will flash twice.
  3. PRESS the DEVICE key where you wish to learn the function. The next 3 steps must be completed within 10 seconds.
  4. PRESS the button that will receive the learned function, the LED will flash rapidly.
  5. PRESS the button on the original remote to be learned.

Now you can repeat steps 3 through 5 to learn other functions onto other keys or press and hold SETUP until the Cinema's red light flashes twice to lock in your new feature. (If the red light does not blink twice, stop and repeat steps through 6).
To test the new feature, press and release the device key in which the new feature was learned followed by the key on which the feature was learned

More help for programming your remote can be found here:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/manuals/ofa-l.shtml?URC-7800#device

Hope that helps!

What is code to use with AVOL adp2500mx DVD player? I have a GE universal remote and want to get it to work with the above dvd player

The code may or may not be in the remote control you are trying to use. If the remote is universal, you can use its code search (or equivalent) feature to find something that will manage some or all of the functions of your DVD player. If a search through all codes stored in the remote fails, you may have to try a different universal remote. All universal remotes do not contain all possible codes.

I Have a AVOL ALTD2490AD TV 24 I have a AVOL 24" LCD TV & DVD Combo model ALTD2490AD, And dont know the code forĀ a GE universal remote Model 24938

GE universal remote control have no set-up code to Avol. To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability.
Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brand you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the site http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/ Check this site too. http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops.
Type in the "brand name" of your device, in the search box [at the top right] of the display window to get gathered all the related posts to this brand devices. It will make surf easy.

How do I program my universal remote to my Avol tv?

If your universal remote has a "code search" feature, use it to search for a code that will operate some or all functions of your Avol TV. If code search is unsuccessful, the remote's code library may not contain a suitable code.

Just go out to your local large drug store or large electronics store and buy a new Universal remote control. It comes with complete instructions of how to retrieve codes from each device you wish to control, and will store those codes for you.

I bought avol 19 inches lcd in built dvd model number ALTD1902 , i lost my remote please help to me where i wil get remote ....

You can buy a universal remote at the dollar store for cheap and then look up the model of the TV on Google and get the remote programming code for the TV and then read the instructions on how to program the specific remote that came in the remote packaging. -OR- If you are looking for the OEM remote, I would check Ebay if I were you, they always seem to have tons of remotes and other random components you cant find anywhere else

Avol TV remote

I own an AVOL 19in TV, I just got my comcast cable hooked up; I too was plagued by initially having to use my other remote to turn TV/volume on/off up/down. Being the code is not listed in the Comcast universal remote instructions, in the above answers someone mentioned APEX as a parent company with AVOL; I was able to use a code from the APEX codes listed in the Comcast universal remote instructions to get the controller to work with turning the TV power on/off and volume control. The code that worked for my particular TV was 10765. Try these codes for your TV to see if they work- 10748, 10879, 10767, 10890. Hope this helps.
