Trend Micro PCCillan turned off and won't turn back on
My AV software came installed on my computer (purchased last March or so). Yesterday, I got a message saying it was turned off, so I tried to turn it back on. It wouldn't. I then tried to run it by double clicking on the Trend Micro icon on the desktop, and it said it couldn't because the program was "still in the process of exiting." When I looked at the Task Manager, it didn't say anything about that program running. I double checked to make sure that my subscription hadn't expired or something like that. It should be good until 2011.
Re: Trend Micro PCCillan turned off and won't turn back...
If you have two antivirus program installed on system along with Trend Micro, then firstly uninstall one antivirus. It will always cause system errors. Then try running Trend Micro. OR if if there is only Trend Micro on PC, then you try to run the program after system restart. If still problem is same, then you can uninstall it.

I had a similar problem and this worked for me
with Trend Micros Internet Security.
You will have to uninstall the program first then reinstall it, otherwise it
will hang and cause problems with your computer.
In order to uninstall it do these steps.
Go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > System Configuation.
Makes sure you select Selective Startup, and that Load Startup Items is unchecked.
Click OK, and you should be prompted to reboot.
After you reboot and the system is loaded your Virus Software icon will NOT
be in the taskbar trying to load.
Now go into control panel > Programs and Features.
Find the virus program, hightlight and select the uninstall option.
After its done doing that go back into the Control Panel >
Administrative Tools > System Configuration. Select Normal Startup
and hit the OK button.
Reboot again when you see the button prompt.
Now, after the system comes up, reinstall your virus software,
You should be good to go from there.
The process is for Vista, but if your running Windows XP it is very similar.
