Something is either clogged in the tape bay mechanism or there is something actually in the space it occupies.

I placed a sony digital8/Hi8 tape in the camera and attempted to record but only got a blinking yellow underscored triangle in the middle of the screen and a blinking code; C32:00 in the upper right corner...

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error C 32:00 is caused due to bad Gear assembly, to resolve this issue with the battery &cassette removed try whack on the underside, if after doing this still the issue is not resolved then you'll have to get the Gear assembly replaced. To remove the tape thats stuck you'll have to remove the two screws that hold the cover on the tape holder. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

When i turn my ds lite on the touch screen blinks and shuts off

either a fuse has gone or the screen is sorting out on the motherboard. check youtube for instructions on how to fix fuses, or if you have had a new screen put some insulation tape on the back of it.
Other possible causes can be a fault with the top screen so investigate tat too. the ribbon cables can tear

We own a Sony handy cam model CCD-TRV37 and the tape will not come out. When pressing the eject button a little yellow arrow blinks upward on the screen and a code C:32:20 blinks in the upper right corner....

Error C:32:20 indicates that the take up reel of the cassette that winds the tape into the video cassette is not taking up the tape fast enough thus causing slacking when unloading.
Remove the battery or power cable, connect, and perform operations from the beginning.
if this fails take the camera to a repairman to remove the tape manually.

It could mean several things. You should check your manual or go to Sony's website to find the most accurate answer.
However,here are some possiblities:
No tape
Almost full tape
Full tape
Damaged tape

If this helps please vote for my solution.

It sounds like the tape door is out of alignment, causing stress on the tape and the inside mechanical system.  Requires a visit to the service shop.

Will not accept any tape

i bought this camara from someone with the same problem for 5 bucks at a yard sale. an easy fix. 1. blow the dust out 2. charge the battery. 3. put the tape in and when it gos down into the case close the door and turn it on, run tape on ff then rr then turn camara to record. if it says to eject tape at any time, eject it and do it again. it worked for me.
