Question about Canon Pixma MP500 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I would like to know how to choose the type of paper on my printer. I get very bad quality, so I assume the setting is not on photo paper.
The type of paper is selected through the printer dialogue in the operating system. The "Control Panel" in Windows or "System Preferences" in OSX.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Try removing all ink bins except black then you won't have any problems. You should also be able to go into your printer settings and select "Black and White" or "No Color" and it will print ok. Removing the ink trays is the easiest way though.

Best probable cause here is the feeder sensor has wron out and its not detecting reqular stock. In this case I would humble replace the printer as a whole as it will only get worse over time. A new feeder $45 bucks labor = out the window. The easy way out of this is to try cleaning the unit really good but not all the time is that functional.
Thanks and please be considerate and leave postive votes and feedback

Testimonial: "Thanks very much for your advice. Wish I'd had it before I had just had it "repaired" at an extortionate cost. Very quick and to the point."
