Usually you have a Webcam Software provided by HP, perhaps CyberLink, it will start at windows startup. I suggest using freeware CCLEANER: http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ This freeware program has many useful tools, a cleaner, registry, to clean jnuk and free up HDD space. In the TOOLS section, select STARTUP, disable ALL unnecessary startup programs/processes, including webcam/cyberlink. You can also use Task Manager or Services. You may find it easier to use CCLEARNER.
I know that webcam is very important for you to keep in touch with your friends and family through using skype and other video call. But don't worry I have a website where you can download a webcam driver for free.
Please just click the link WebCam so that you will be directed to the exact site where you can download it. Once you click download from the site, just follow all the prompts and you are good to go.
I hope you find it very helpful. Thank you for choosing fixya.
if you use microsoft windows xp, open windows explorer (START MENU - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - WINDOWS EXPLORER). See left box, the line up from "My Network Places" must be there "USB Video Device". Click on it. In right box, you can see your face. Smile it (have much light in around you)... If "USB Video Device" is not there, please check in "Device Manager" (START MENU - CONTROL PANEL - SYSTEM - tab HARDWARE - DEVICE MANAGER). You can see or not, in line "Imaging Devices". USB Video Device. If that driver webcam still there, you can see your face, via webcam, from windows explorer.
This is the direct link where you can download the drivers for your webcam. You just have to select which one you need from the dropdown list on the right. They have several versions of webcams. If you don;t know which one you have just start at the beggining and keep trying till you find the one that works. You can get the software for it there too. Hope this helps you.
