Your advice was not exactly what I was looking for. I need directions on how to change the RAM in the ASUS A2400L notebook with the new higher-capacity memory. I found this information on the websitehttp://members.iinet.net.au/~allanxxx/A2... Your efforts has helped me anyway to find the right web address, so thank you for that.

Hi I have asus taichi-cx020p 13.1", there is 4G RAM onborad, how can i increase RAM to 8G?

Charlie , you'll most likely only to see a single RAM slot but If there's a single RAM slot, that's fine. Just discard the 4GB for an 8GB.

Upgrading Ram

Hi,

Make sure you have the RAM seated in slot #1, and that you do not have DDR RAM installed as well, as DDR2 with DDR RAM will not work. Also, make sure the RAM you bought is on the QVL (Qualified Vendors List) for that motherboard. I know I have had problems with ASUS motherboards and OCZ ram before.

Your laptop can have up to 1 GB of memory. You should have two slots and you can install 512 MB per slot. Your laptop is using 200 Pin DDR PC2100 266 MHz CL 2.5 SODIMM. You can also install PC3200, but your laptop will clock it down to 266 MHz.

Asus M2N-MX Motherboard 4gb Ram wont work

I had the same problem and ASUS tech support was of no help. I did however find the culpret in the BIOS setup. Go to Advanced, Chipset, NorthBridge Chipset, and Memory Configuration. Set the Bank Interleaving to Disabled and save the settings. Check these settings also while you are there:
Channel Interleaving = Auto
Enable clock to all DIMMS = Disabled
Memory Tristate = Disabled
Memory Hole = Enabled
Unganged Mode = Enabled
Power Down Enable = Enabled
Power Down Mode = Channel
