I am trying to replace the Display Board on my HT-X50, I have taken apart everything but the Volume control knob, cannot figger how to take this knob off, need to do this to remove the board. I know something has to come off the Volume Control knob to remove it from the board but cannot see what. This seems real simple but this has me stopped. Thanks, Ronne

Look into the TV's audio controls. If it was my setup, I'd NOT send audio through the TV to the hifi, nor video through the hifi to the TV. Additional hops and interconnects cause problems even though they're theoretically transparent.
With the home theater system off, press the 0-1-3-5 buttons in that order on the home theater's remote control.
Power on the home theater system.
With the wireless module on, press the [ID SET] button on the back of the wireless module for five seconds.
If your home theater continues to display rear check after you have tried the steps above, call Samsung Customer Care at 1-800-SAMSUNG (1-800-726-7864). Have your model number and serial number on hand to set up service.
Loose connection or cold solder and cleaning problem this is the main caused of your remote to malfunction.Cold solder issues - each
component is soldered into small
holes on the printed circuit board which in turn connects said
component to the
other components. Due to time, heat, use, some solder joints would be
or loose. Try to resolder the solder joint so it works normal again..
$38 part from Sears PartsDirect took about 30 mins to install. Part # AH92-02673A Ay pcb-front. There are actually 2 boards to this setup, I went ahead and replaced both but the power button side of the board has some wiring that requires you to remove the disc changer which is only 4 screws and 2 screws for the piece that holds the disc above the reader.
I couldn't find an easy way to get the knob off on the front it required me to force it, nothing borke but your replacing the board anyways..
