SOURCE: belt on nordic track exp 1000 not moving

if you hear the motor moving with no belt turning the problem is either the front roller or the drive belt. If there is no motor movement then this is usually an indication of a bad control board located under the lower section of the treadmill.

SOURCE: how do you adjust or tighten the belt on the

If the walking belt is off-center, remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. If the walking belt has shifted to the left, use the hex key to turn the left idler roller bolt clockwise 1/2 of a turn; if the walking belt has shifted to the right, turn the left idler roller bolt counterclockwise 1/2 of a turn. Be careful not to overtighten the walking belt. Plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is centered

SOURCE: our belt is slipping on our nordic track c1900

I have the same unit. First, remove the hood. Then, the motor has an adjustment screw on the belt side of the motor. Loosen the nut a little, adjust the motor up or down to make the belt as tight as you can by hand, then re-tighten the nut. This always fixes mine.

Sounds like your belt is slipping. Check your manual, it'll probably tell you how to service it.

Why does rear drive belt make squealing noise when accelerating. I try'd ajusting belt tention ,nothing is working.

Hi anonymous, first you need to check rear wheel alignment in the swing arm either from the center of the swing arm pivot shaft to the center of the rear wheel axle bolt (most accurate method) measurement should exactly the same on both sides. Or you can use the axle adjuster marks stamped on the swing arm where the axle lives. next you need to get the rear wheel off the ground and rotate it in the direaction of forward movement and see where it tracks in the pully. If it tracks to one side and rubs against the pulley side walls then you can adjust the pulley location by adding or subtracting pully to hub spacers so it tracks in the middle or away from any wall. If it is mechanically impossible to achieve this desired outcome you may slightly adjust rear wheel to achieve desired results. If belt still squeeks you can try deglazing the inside of the pulley wall with scotch guard pad some simular mildly abrasive object and rub some dielectric grease on the side of the belt. All other remedies are less effective and only last for a day or two but you are surely welcome to try your own brew. Finally there is a question of proper belt tension, a belt to tight will squeek more than a loose one. For proper belt adjustment enjoy the video. How do I replace a Nordic Track C2255 drive belt?

The black shavings are normal on a treadmill. It may be that you need to tighten the walking belt. Try tightening the two bolts on the rear of the machine that hold the rear roller in place. You need to tighten each of them the exact same amount or you'll throw off the alignment. Tighten them three turns of the wrist and see if that helps. If not, try three more turns. If still nothing then replace the drive belt. That can be a real undertaking and you might want to consider contacting a professional.

I have the Incline Trainer X7i. i lost the manual. the belt is tracking to the left and rubbing the side. how do i adjust the tracking to get it back to center?\r\nthank you,

Find the allen key that came with the treadmill. It is used to assemble and adjust the treadmill.
Locate the 2 adjustment screws at the rear of the machine. If the belt is shifting to the left, tighten the left screw (turn clockwise) and the same if the belt goes to the right, tighten the right.
Only turn the screw 1/2 turn and move the belt manually to shift the belt. If it requires more, turn another 1/4 turn, very little adjustment may be required to straighten the belt. Once the belt stops rubbing, start the machine running slowly (1-2 mph) and observe the belt FROM DIRECTLY BEHIND THE MACHINE. Carefully adjust the rear roller till the belt is as close to center as possible making small adjustments, 1/8-1/4 turn clockwise of the adjustment screws.

Hello there, Your are perfectly fine by making that adjustment. That is actually what it is for. When the belts get older and start stretching you can move that spring and get more tension. It does not harm the roller or the drive motor.

Tread is sliding and rubbing agianst right side of track.

Make sure treadmill is running when you adjust belt. The treadmill belt tracks as the belt goes around. I usually put machine on 2-2.5 if belt is not rubbing instantly. If belt is already against plastic, turn adj. counterclockwise on the opposite side about one full turn. You can usually move belt with your foot to see if it aligns any with turning on the treadmill. Once belt is not rubbing, turn treadmill on and continue alighing the belt.
