Question about Bosch Exxcel WFO 2465 Front Load Washer

1 Answer

No display lights on panel

My machine didn't drain and spin so I checked filter, then removed motor to check brushes - they are fine. to do this I replaced packing bolts and put m/c on it's side. Water leaked from softener drawer and may have got onto panel. The display flickers when Start is pressed but then goes blank. I ran the Spin cycle and it appeared to work properly. Can the display be fixed?

I was probably lucky. After properly drying out, everything is working ok. There is a sense of "we can do it" on this site. Perhaps a certain President was inspired by it!

I have a beko 1512s washing machine, it goes thru the cycle but then wont do a final empty and spin. Its not the pump and its not the brushes please help :(

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Are you refering to the main motor when you say 'Its not the 'pump' and its not the brushes' or have you been able to check the separate drain pump and clean the filter, please?
Because I do not know your answers and just in case with no promises ;-0) ---------->

Sorry but I do not know your particular machine BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter.
Here are my complete, general pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the filter and the motor ;-0)
-------------------------------------
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!

It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

Washes clothes fine but won't go into spin cycle.

Could be that the load is either a) too big or b) unbalanced. Try removing some items then set to spin again.

Alternatively it could be that the water is not pumping out. Check the hose from the machine to the drain. Check the filter / junk catcher. Check the hose between the drum and the pump.

I have also had machines that will wash but not spin because the carbon brushes for the motor were worn out. It is not a difficult or expensive job to change the brushes yourself.

The machine doesnt spin with clothes in it

Could be a blocked filter, or worn brushes in the motor.
To check filter, remove lower rear panel of washer.
Remove large black hose fastened to bottom of drum
Remove and clean filter inside trhe hose.
Remove hose onto pump, and check for obstruction or blockage here.
To check the carbons remove motor from washer, and the carbons are located at the oppsite end to the motor pulley.
Hope this helps.

Sometimes when the load is unbalanced & the machine cannot adjust the load it stops. To avoid this make sure your wash is mixed with big and small clothes.
If this does not work remove the rear panel & check belt, should have half inch ‘give’. Still not good, remove belt, unscrew 2 bolts that hold the motor, unplug the motor connector, lever the motor back with a screwdriver. Check the motor brushes (at terminal end of motor), if they are any shorter than 1 cm replace brushes.

Does not remove all the water on spin cycle

Its the filter cap or plug. It unscrews anti-clockwise.

Remove the front lower panel, screws underneath. Be prepared for water, drain out from drain hose. Check filter for clogging, clean out. Sometimes when the load is unbalanced & the machine cannot adjust the load it stops. To avoid this make sure your wash is mixed with big and small clothes.
