Hi,

Several factors could be involved in case your ice maker is not making any ice at all. It might be caused due to a defect in the water supply line. It could be possible that the water valve isn't getting any water. Check the water line at the back of the freezer for any blockage. Look for the water shut-off valve placed behind the refrigerator or under the sink and turn it off. If it make no difference, replace the primary inlet valve.

Will not dispense ice or water, beeps when lever is pushed, no interior light in frig part. both frig and freezer work, freezer light works

Your inlet tube that goes to the icemaker may be frozen. To Check: Shut off water supply to Fridge, disconnect the water line that goes to the icemaker at top back. Use a flexible item to insert in the water line connection. I used a zip tie. If the flexible item won't all the through to the ice maker, the line is frozen. Thaw out the tube from inside the freezer with a hair dryer. Re-connect everything, you now have ice . . . Solution #2: You may have to replace your "Water Inlet Valve" located at bottom right rear of Fridge. Easy to do, just follow the color codes, be sure and shut off the water.

Your water line could be frozen in the door. You can disconnect the line at the bottom before it goes into the door at the bottom hinge. Push the dispenser button and see if it comes out there. If it does, leave the door open till it thaws.

If it doesn't come out there disconnect it at the water inlet valve and see if it comes out there. The valve could be bad.

A strainer before the inlet valve can also get stopped up restricting flow.

Viking refrigerator not dispensing water and no ice...

Water line is blocked somewhere, or water inlet valve is malfunctioning.

Check the line coming from the house plumbing and make sure water is getting to the refrigerator. If it is, you likely have a bad valve. These are readily available, are fairly inexpensive, and easy to replace. It should be underneath the freezer close to the back of the refrigerator. Follow the water line to where it enters the refrigerator. The valve should be there.

Disconnect the water line where it comes out of the water inlet valve and see how the flow is when you try the dispenser. Disconntct the water line at the bottom of the freezer door where it goes into the door. If it flows good here it may be freezing in the door. Open the door till it thaws.
If it's good at the inlet valve and slow at the door, some models have a way to put a plug in and bypass the filter.

WATER DISPENSER NOT WORKING

It might be that you have a restriction at the water supply line serving the fridge. Check it for good flow (have bucket and towels handy!) If supply line is good, then move onto the fridge to check the water inlet valve(s). as newer models have 2 or 3 inlet valves, a main water valve for the entire unit, and possibly one each for the ice maker and water dispenser past the main inlet valve (solinoid).

You can check these by simply shutting off the main supply to the fridge from the house water line 1st, and then removing each water line from the supply side of the fridge and seeing if you have water flow from the house to the valve side. If you do, then reconnect the lines to the fridge valves and see if you can get water flowing to the other side of the solinoid/valve when you have someone try to get a glass of water from the water dispenser, etc.

It is possible that there is an obstruction in the lines, by not very likely. Normally it is a failed water valve(s) (solinoid) that causes low flow or complete loss of flow, especially if you've changed the fridge water filter or replaced it with the "cap" which eliminates filtering of the water.

It is that you'll likely have to replace at least one, maybe more, of the fridge inlet water valves. If you have the time, try to zero in on the failed one by bypassing each, one at a time, until you get water flow. That way, you'll only have to purchase just the replacement valve needed to get things working again.

Hi

When an ice maker is producing ice poorly--when it produces just a few cubes or none, or when the cubes are too small--it's usually because of a clogged water line or a defective water inlet valve.

First, check the water line attached to the back of the refrigerator for good water flow. To do that, first turn off the water supply valve. Then remove the water line from the back of the refrigerator. Next, place the water line into a bucket and momentarily turn the water valve back on to test the flow. If the flow is poor, you need to repair, clean, or replace the tubing or the shut-off valve that supplies the water. If the flow is good, you may have to replace the water inlet valve.

Please revert for further assistance and Do rate the solution if found useful.

Thanks
Rylee

Refrigerator not making ice

Make sure the water line is clear and not kinked somewhere. It's also possible that the water line orifice is frozen inside the freezer at the ice maker area and blocking water flow. You can thaw it out with a hair dryer - point it at the water inlet - be careful
