i have tried HDMI cable on OLEVIA HDTV, i tried my component video cable,.... bought for PS2 but believe supposed to work for PS3. tried composite hook up from PS2 on old panasonic tv. nothing works. only thing i get is when connect HDMI, tv changes from no signal to invalid format.

PS3 is The amazing device by sony but it has some common problems like no video display,sound problem etc.... Good news is that these all problems can be repaired with the help of DIY Guides, one such guide available at PS3 Repair Blog
