Question about British Telecom BT BIG Button Corded Phone
When you lift the phone to make a call there is no dialling tone at all. yet when i phone the number from a mobile it sounds as if it is ringing but it isnt
If you hear the phone ringing when you try to call from a mobile, that means your connection is still active at the local exchange, but does not necessarily mean your phone is plugged in or ready to accept calls. Most probably your phone is disconnected somewhere in the internal wiring within your premises or the phone instrument is dead or wiring is faulty outside your premises.
