I have the same problem, but everything seems to be plugged in. It's very frustrating because we cannot afford to have someone come look at it. I've checked every where I could think of, could it be a telephone line that's down somewhere else? Or the company?

If you hear the phone ringing when you try to call from a mobile, that means your connection is still active at the local exchange, but does not necessarily mean your phone is plugged in or ready to accept calls. Most probably your phone is disconnected somewhere in the internal wiring within your premises or the phone instrument is dead or wiring is faulty outside your premises.

Why does the phone not call out ? It says the way the number is dialed doesn't work?

Did you read the instructions that came with it? I am wondering if you have to dial 9 to get an outside line if this is a home PBX unit?

The other possibility is that the phone is not set to tone dialling and is set to pulse. When you dial, do you her musical tones or clicks corresponding to the number dialled?

Hello
Your phone ahs been locked by mistake. When telephone is locked, except for a saved emergency number, no numbers can be dialled; incoming call can be answered.

Cannot get dial tone

try to make an incoming call to the phone in question by dialling the phone number from a mobile or whatever.if the phone does not ring then the line itself is not connected or has a wiring problem.
so if no dial tone and no incoming calls then check the line itself

I need to retrieve my home phone messages from cell phone

Activating Call Forwarding

You can activate Call Forwarding whenever you want your calls to be sent to another phone, including a mobile phone. Once activated, all your calls will be sent to the forwarding number you request. Each time a call is forwarded, you will hear one short reminder tone on your home phone, but you will not be able to answer the call from your home number.

1. Lift your telephone's receiver and listen for a dial tone.

2. Press *7 2.
In some areas you must use 72#
Dial 1172 on rotary or pulse-dialing phones.

3. At the tone, dial the telephone number where you want your calls transferred.
You will hear the number you entered ring. When the number is answered, Call Forwarding is activated.

4. If the call is not answered or the line is busy, hang up and call the number again within two minutes.
You will hear two short tones telling you that Call Forwarding is activated.

5. Hang up the receiver.

Deactivating Call Forwarding

Turn Call Forwarding off when you want to receive calls on your home phone.

1. Lift your telephone's receiver and listen for a dial tone.

2. Press * 73.
In some areas you must use 73#
Dial 1173 on rotary or pulse-dialing phones.

3. Listen for two short tones.
Call Forwarding is now off and you will receive your calls at your home number.

No dialling tone - just a beeping sound

It sounds like the handset is not 'registered' to the base station/cradle. Solution may be in the user handbook, which you should be able to download at :
