Question about JVC CP6U Adapter

Open Question

Why does my VCR keep ejecting my JVC CP6U adaptor? I put a cassette in the adaptor then put it in a VCR. " play " is activated for a second then shuts off and ejects the adaptor. VCR is working with other regular VHS tapes.

SOURCE: DVD Drawer / VHS Eject button

My 1st suggestion is to pull the AC power plug from the wall, wait 5 minutes (have a smoke or a coffee) and plug it back in.
Then retry the functions that are giving you grief.
Report back with the results and we'll go from there.

I was wondering if you tryed unplugging vcr for an hour then
plugging it back up. sometimes this resits it and it will work fine.
the tape might eject itself out or eject button might work.

SOURCE: Will not release the cassette when ejected and breaks the tape.

there is a spring attached to the tape release gear that will eventuall wear out through time, also, sometimes the rubber belts wear out and throws the timing off.
That would be the first two things to check. Make sure spring is not stretched. Try testing with cover off and watch to see if the part holding the back of the tape releases.

SOURCE: problem ejecting tapes getting stuck

The take up is not rewinding the tape all the way back into the shell. Check the idler, it's either worn or if it's plastic it is warped from the heat.

Red lever stopping adapter from going in vcr

That lever is there for a reason. The adapter needs a battery in it to run the motor to lace up the small tape before it goes into the VCR. If it goes in without the tape being laced it won't play and might cause damage.

Unit accepted cassette, won't eject

It is likely that either the drive belt has broken or is slipping. Because the unit is still in "play" mode, the mechanism won't let the door open up. If you have not opened up these units before, do not attempt it now. This unit should be taken to an experienced tech for repair. Where are you located?

Vcr will not play tapes,it ejects the tape after a few seconds

This may be caused by the mode switch.
By the way it uses a K-Deck Mechanism.

VCR ejecting my cassettes

Try removing the top cover & have a look to see what happens when you put the tape in & press play/rewind etc. Is the take up spool (right hand spool) turning properly or is there slack tape not being taken into the cassette? Are the heads spinning ? I think your problem is more likely to do with the tape not travelling smoothly around the tape path. Possibly the clutch gears need cleaned or the soft brakes may not be dis-engaging properly.

VCR ejects blank tape only

It sounds like the cassette is not releasing the tape so the machine can put it around the heads. This could damage the machine. Don't use it. A two dollar tape is not worth damaging your vcr. Throw it away.

JVC HR-S9700 TAPE STUCKS, HAVE TO BE PULLED OUT, CASSETTE DOOR REMAIND OPEN,VCR SWITCHES OFF-CAN NOT BE PLAYED AGAIN

Check out the drive that works the unloading and loading operation of your machine. Also check the switch that is activated by the presence of your cassette. If something is wrong with the latter, the tape will not load and unload properly. And under those circumstances your machine will not work.
Try Google search for your questions. You may get lucky and get the answers right there!
