There is a small allen screw in the base of the handle- the part the stem screws into to turn the water to the on position. If you have lost the one for your handle call moen at 1-800-289-6636 in the US. Their hours are Mon-Fri 8-8 EST and Sat 8-18:30 or follow this link MOEN. SOURCE: can't remove moen bathroom faucet assembly to

If you are dealing with the type of Moen faucet I think you are, what you need to do is remove the pop-up rod. do this by loosening the locking bolt on the linkage under the sink and pulling the rod out from the top. Once the rod is out you will need to find the correct size allen wrench which goes into the center hole. there is a mounting bolt in there that needs to be unscrewed. Easy when you know how.

It should just unscrew. You might need some needle nose pliers as the aerator may be slightly recessed.

Just bought 4 moen Oxbridge bathroom sink faucets. Water pressure is very low compared to old faucets. Checked the aerator but no adjustment is available. New shower head is the same issue.

These days, you may find a disk with a small hole intended to restrict flow. It may be installed above the aerator. Check the flow with aerator removed.

How do I remove a recessed moen aerator on bathroom faucet? Looks rectangular in shape and seems like I need an allen wrench

The only ones I've seen that are recessed come with a tool, same diameter as aerator with gear like teeth on it. The teeth match up with the teeth on aerator and you just simply unscrew it. If you don't have the tool I have used a pair of needle nose pliers instead. Point pliers straight up, one point on each side of the aerator slid in between the teeth then turn the pliers (counterclockwise)

How to remove the aerator to clean screen

The aerator is screwed into the faucet assembly. Sometimes lime deposits make this hard to unscrew so you may need large pliers with a lot of tape to protect the finish from scratches.
- remember, left-loosy/righty tighty, but it's upside down, so clockwise to loosen, when viewed from above the faucet.

I have a Jado bathroom faucet that has a restriction in it. Is there a screen that I need to clean?

It will have an aerator on the end of the faucet that has a screen. Sometimes these can be removed by hand carefully unscrewing. Others require an aerator removal tool (cheap). Either way, remove the aerator taking care not to allow it to separate into parts. Once removed, you can then dis-assemble noting the order in which you did so. Clean screens and re-assemble.

I have a brand new moen muirfield high arc faucet with low pressure at spout but good pressure at side spray what can i do to get better pressure at spout

clevine336-

The design of a hand sprayer is meant to provide a higher pressure spray (the smaller outlet size means greater velocity in the water coming out of the sprayer head). That said, there could be something constricting the water flow in your faucet. If you unscrew the aerator on the end of the faucet do you get better pressure? Is the screen in the aerator clogged with sediment or mineral deposits? If this is the case you may have water requiring periodic cleaning of the aerator.

Hope this helps.

Ever since my Moen kitchen faucet (Model CA87010) was installed the water is full of foam. Air? How to fix?

There may be construction debris or residue partly blocking the aerator. Have you unscrewed the end and cleaned it out? Sometimes the fellow may not have assembled the aerator in the right order and a simple rearranging of parts will clear it up.
