Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console

Save data corrupted

Hi! I've just bought Professor Layton & the Curious Village for the Nintendo DS and everything was fine. Got up to the 3rd puzzle and decided to save it so went to the save feature and selected the first empty slot, waited for it to save then turned it off. When i came to play on it again a message came up saying 'save data has been corrupted and will be erased'. Why???? I didn't turn it off during the saving and have tried the game on another DS and it works.

Can anyone help?
Thanks

I was up playing this for about 3 hours the other night when I first got it and saved it on numerous occasions through out - when I go to reload this morning there is no saved data and the onlt option is to start new game (very frustrating to have to go through 3 hours of puzzles - a this rate I will have to leave it turned on!!!) HELP!!!!!!!! I have tried leaving it for 10 secs before turning it off but there is still not data there - I do have other games that save okay so assume it is a problem with the game rather than the ds??

The game doesn't have an option to erase save files

The best method is to merely overwrite the save files

It is possible to "erase" a save file by corrupting it (such as turning off the DS as it saves), but this should, of course, only be done at your own risk
