You don't say how "TV audio" is entering the system.

My guess is you're using analog audio Out from the TV into an analog input on the Denon. One channel failing would probably be the Left Channel cable failing or not seated.

I always recommend bypassing the TV audio entirely if the programming comes from somewhere other than its own antenna, as TV audio electronics add nothing good to the process.

If you're using cable box, sat box, game, whatever, ITS audio is best sent directly to your Denon's specialized audio hardware - digitally, if possible, to preserve multichannel possibilities.

You could also run standard analog audio from the cable box to the TV analog Audio IN if you just want to watch news and weather on TV speakers without the Denon involved.

I have a Denon 2800 hooked up to a Pioneer DV-C302D and while DVD's thru the Denon, the sound will come on and off. At the same time the Denon will be switching between analog and digital mode. Is one of...

It's a cable or connection.

The Denon apparently has an automatic selector to choose the digital input over the analog input if both are present (my Pioneer does this). The random switching is telling you the digital input is intermittently dropping out and coming back. You don't say if you're using the optical or coaxial digital interface. Coaxial is less prone to connection problems. If you use optical, make sure the ends are clicked in and there are no small radius bends in the cable. Tight curves reduce the optical power. Either way, check the connections and wiggle them to see if you can cause the problem to return.

Can't record out from a digital input

It only passes the signal it see's. Digital for Digital and Analog for Analog. Try running a Standard analog RCA from your Cable box to the receiver then try and record. Hope this helps. If you still have an issue, post a comment and I can help you further.

Denon AVR-1403 receiver switched from digital to analogue.

There are three modes (Auto, DTM, and PCM) on the input mode switch, on the main unit, selected by repeatedly pressing the input mode switch.

However, if you have already depressed the Analog button in, on the main unit you have predetermined the mode as analog.

On the remote, the INPUT MODE switch combines toggles for 5 choices, [Auto, PCM, DTS, Analog,
Ext. input]

My guess is that either the input mode switch on the main unit and/or the remote are toggled to analog.
